no need to disconnect battery when replacing speakers. just don't turn the car on or to ACC. The mid-woofers are going to produce sound. The headunit may not provide enough power to produce "good" sound so it may sound lackluster. Get something like a kicker key or alpine ktp-445u where you don't need to run additional power from the engine bay and can shove behind the head unit. Use the AX-DSP-HON2 t-harness so you don't cut any factory wires to tap into radio for power and speakers. Kicker key will be nicer because it has a built in DSP and AUTOTUNE.
Ok! Thank you for all the information. I will check what I can do. Thanks again.

I balked at the price of the wireless charging pad but after considering the OEM part is twice that cost (like you said), it provides a handy charging port for my passenger and it's designed for that space... I'm in. Order placed. Thanks for sharing the find!

The dongle description says it is only compatible with CarPlay, and not Android Auto. If that's true then awesome workaround, but I cant use it

Can you get tell us how you set it up to work without the APK?
So I bought the $180 wireless activation version. the more I use it the less impressed I am with how finicky it is. Just ordered the one that requires the APK to see how that goes.

Hi! Just one more question... what sounds do come from the center dash speaker? Does it worth it to buy a better one and replace it? Thanks!

Any updates on this?

Nice work! I want to replace my bottom front speakers too (so I'm going to do about 5% of the work what you have done here). AndI have one question: do I need to disconnect the battery if I want to replace the front speakers? Is it a problem if I plan to use a 3Ohm Spekaer instead of a 4 Ohm speaker (I dont plan to use it on max volume). It would be this one, I'm just not sure if it fits in the car:

Hello
Did the speaker fit in the door? I plan to buy one too, but I donā€™t know if thereā€™s enough space.

Let's start with the wireless charging pad. I've looked into the different option. OEM would always be best but Honda's version has that large ugly rectangular warning sticker on it and didn't provide any other functionality. Also let's not ignore the fact that it's $250~ or even more depending on where you buy it. So I said F that noise and looked for alternatives. I found ones that were $50~ but all the reviews looked bad and the design of them were horrible as well. I came across one that was half the price of the Honda OEM ones and looked WAY BETTER and had an extra USB port. That was the ZWNAV. I already had the Yonhan QC socket installed by the front USB panel so I tapped the power off of that to power the Qi Pad. Below are pictures of the replacement unit and installation process.
I have 2018 civic sport. You think it'll be easy to install this charger? I really like how it's close to oem design and cheaper.

Hi!
At the end bought Alpine speakers. And yes the alpines did fit. But you also need a plastic speaker adapter (basically a frame) for Honda civic and Honda speaker cable adapters. Since the speaker together with the speaker adapter is not high enough to reach the door trim you must expect some extra vibration on the doors. I solved this by measuring the missing distance (about 8mm) and designing and 3d printing (tpu filament) my extra adapter that fits perfectly on the edge of the adapter frame and the spekers metal frame nd adds about 6-7mm extra height to it. So at the end I had:
1. Inner Metal sheet of the door
2. Adapter Frame
3. Speakerā€˜s Frame
4. My extra adapter
5. Thin insulation to prevent rattles
6. Door trim
I also replaced all the ā€žanti rattleā€œ pads that were put on the door trimā€˜s different points and some of them were missing or put there like they had 1 second to place them all.
