Infotainment System freaking out

2018 Civic SI. So I had this issue this morning I have never encountered, wondering if anyone else has had this problem? The screen all of a sudden went blank then flashed back on forth between a black and blank backlight screen for about 2 minutes then it just restarted itself with the H logo and was fine again. Curious if this is a sign that it will be failing in future or was it just a hiccup? Car has 40K miles on it so guessing there is no warranty if it fails?

Dig in the settings menu and do a factory reset.

It's a computer. So anything's possible.

The only thing I can think of to check would be the fuse and wiring and any USB connections. Even then; you'd be looking for something obvious.

Of course, if there are mods; check that they are not causing the issue.

Agreed re: reset. And fingers crossed that it's nothing but a hiccup.

that happened to me once aswell. the screen went black every 2-3sec and i couldnt do anything (touchscreen and buttons not working).
i had to turn off the car and it rebooted on next start.

the worst part was actually, that the sound also started to "freeze" and ended up in a loop with a high-pitched peep tone.
that was pretty loud aswell, since i was blasting some music right before....

I noticed this happening occasionally on the alternate skin layout. I went back to the original and I havent seen it happen since.
