At the Eibach Meet, David at Hybrid Racing delivered the brand new Short Throw Shifter to me.
The build quality leaves me speechless. Nothing beats billet aluminum!
Install guide was thorough, took about 1-1.5hrs to install. I stopped here and there to take photos and to hydrate.

First impressions:
The engagement of every gear feels incredible. It makes the OEM Shifter feel cheap.
The throw is definitely shorter. Each shifter cable has two separate adjustments. I used Position 2 for the shortest throw.
I also used the stiffer spring vs. the soft spring. Both springs come with the kit.
There is no sloppiness in any direction now. Amazing.

The car feels different now with everything feeling solid. I can honestly say that I don't want to stop driving!

Enjoy the photos below.
Please note, the passenger seat was removed for more workspace. Just my personal preference, not necessary.

Thanks for the post. Hybrid site says it comes with a soft spring and stiff spring as optional choices. Medium spring comes installed.

Hmmm that may be a typo, only two spring choices were available. Stiff is already installed, and one spring was in the hardware bag.

The site has been updated. The original plan was going to be to include three springs, but the difference between the soft and medium wasn't huge so we changed to the stiff and medium. Both are great choices, thanks for catching that!

Thanks for the update. My son ordered your Short shifter this weekend for his 2019 CTR due in later this month. If I like it I may order one too.

2017+ Honda Civic Type R Alcantara Shift boot by Rspec Interiors

I know there are several options for Alcantara reupholstery. If anyone is interested in supporting a fellow FK8 Type R owner and his wife, we have been quietly working on the 10th gen interior! Let us know if you'd like us to work on any custom interior work. Posting more photos of the parts we completed so far on my car soon!

I love the build dude! That blue was sexy though, but the CW is classic. I noticed you went from Milltek to HKS to Milltek again. Any reason for it?

Milltek was true 3” all the way thru. The HKS has some bottlenecks and had too much rasp with a cat delete (downpipe)
