Anyone heard of, or experience issues with the digital gauge cluster? Mine randomly faded out while I was driving, so I pulled over and turned off my car. When I started it up it was all good. A few days later it faded out again, and now it won’t display at all. I have an appointment tomorrow to have the dealer diagnose it.

Just happens, it's an LCD screen just bad luck - I'm sure the replacement will go the distance. Sorry for your issue!

Yeah, not too concerned about the screen itself. I’m hoping it’s covered under warranty. The car is just under a year old, and I have Honda Care for 120k Miles.

Did this get resolved? Mine has been intermittently going out and coming back for a total of about 7 different times within this week. I feel it is only a matter of time until it doesnt go back. Some sort of module get replaced? Doesnt seem to be the screen itself having a problem because as its recovering back to normal it gets one thing back at a time like odometer>tach hashes>speed>tach needle>speedo>etc.

Does it come back, like the car is being started -- ie From a BLACK screen, the BOOT up , and then the items display?
Or does it just stop displaying EVERYTHING, and then they come back one at a time. ?

Also, when it "goes Out", does the screen go completely BLACK, or is there still a slight dark gray background.

Does this happen when stationary, or only when driving, maybe on bad roads (ie could be loose connection)

(Sometimes both)

(All scenarios. First time was black at startup)

It may be as simple as a bad (intermittent) Fuse, or Relay, dropping power to the Instrument Cluster.

Relay 1G1B or Fuse B7 (Under dash)

They also send power to the Radio .. does that turn off and restart ?

If not, it's not that Relay or Fuse :(

infotainment isnt affected. Im leaning toward gauge control module of some sort.

Looks like display or display connection defect. Dealer should fix it right up.

What I'm curious about is the odometer mileage stored? If there's no mileage stored and they replace it they may have to add a label to your car stating the odometer was changed. I worked at a dealer years ago and recall something like that being done on a car. I could be wrong or may not apply in this case.

That’s before digital odometers. Mileage is stored on several computers throughout the car.

Sorry, just saw this today. Oddly enough the issue went away shortly after I posted this back in May. The dealer could not replicate the issue, and did nothing. Then a couple weeks ago, after 4 months, it went out again. This time it did not come back on. I took it to a different dealer, and they ordered a new display. I picked my car back up this past Monday, and since then I’ve had no issues. If yours is starting to have issues, I’d take it in. Mine was covered under warranty thankfully.
