I change my own oil because it takes about 20 minutes tops (with beer) and I don't have to go sit in the waiting room, get my car molested - the lowest most untrained guys do the oil changes.....and no joy rides!
I say joy rides because my new Type R had 20 miles on it when I picked it up. Never got a straight answer why. I see guys from the dealership at the Sams Club across the road getting gas so it can't be that....
All the new cars in the showroom had 5-6 or less. Those ingrates at the dealership I'm sure did an "Italian Tune-Up" on my new car's engine when they first unloaded it! So much for break-in!
I can't say how strongly this irritates me that something I pay that much for gets f'ed with that way.

20 miles when I took delivery at showroom. I watched HondaProJasons video at the CTR Factory in England, and their test track is what a mile or so long?
Even adding driving to trailer, to ship, off ship, off trailer, getting gas during the PDI it wouldn't add up to 20 miles!
As I said earlier all the other Honda cars in the dealership showroom (new civics, Accords, Pilots etc.), only had about 6-7 miles on them....PLUS-No test drives allowed on CTRs! So who else could it have been?
