So oldest boy, now 18, can drive my xgen just fine. Youngest, just turned 16, is having issues with the light clutch and engagement point. Mostly stalling... I did have him practice using no throttle at all, takeoffs in 1st. He did pretty good. But when we go to adding throttle... bucking and stalls. This was on TSP Stage 1, map 1 (pretty close to stock). Had a brain fart this morning and I’m going to make a custom tune for him to learn the basics. I never liked what drob set as idle, it is too low, so I’m starting at idle setting of 765rpm and see what happens. Hopefully today’s lesson goes better. Once going, youngest is fine, it’s just the takeoff, which is the hardest to master.
I should add that oldest boy learned on a 9th gen Si, which had a very distinctive engagement point.
