The new bumper inserts are a little funky looking

Old
At least the old front panels' grill design pattern matches the middle grill to intercooler. They just need real holes for real function and better cooling especially on our R's. the rear panels look more asthetic than the front. Greddy makes an oil cooler and thow in a punched out matching hole pattern for the left driver side to match the right.

Alteratetively, for the best of both worlds, it would be worth ii to combine both designs into 1; honeycomb texture granted should have actual holes for cooler air breathablility and add in the red fin for more dyanmic athstetics if not any potenial added air flow.

Thank youuuuuu sadly it will push me to get a ford ecoboost mustang with that rs motor in it at least the sync 4 is not laggy.
I can't wrap my head around choosing between two very different automobiles based on the response speed of the infotainment system. To me, that's like choosing a hamburger from Red Robin or McDonalds based on how many toilets are in the restrooms!

The Honda will almost certainly have much better reliability, efficiency, and resale value than the Ford and the handling dynamics are completely different. Have you ridden in a Ford and Honda after 50,000 miles and noticed which one has fewer squeaks and rattles and loose interior bits?

Also, there's no such thing as Sync 4. The latest version is still Sync 3 which has been around since 2015. I had it in a 2016 Fiesta and while it looked great and was indeed responsive, it was full of bugs and annoyances. An update along the way which solved some problems only to introduce new ones made it worse. Interestingly, I run in a social circle that consists primarily of Ford owners (there's a story behind that). I'm often hearing them complain about electronic issues with their vehicles - mostly with the Sync 3 infotainment systems.

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate Mustangs for their nostalgia and enjoy cruising around in convertible models and hearing the rumble of those equipped with V8 engines. I prefer the handling and feel of rear wheel drive, but I'd never cross-shop any Honda model with a Mustang - particularly based on the infotainment system.

hmmm I dont really think the si infotainment is laggy, but I dont use android auto that much. I use my USB for music and it seems fine. Everyting boots up quickly when I start the car and no issues with getting to music in my folders.

ps-Now the toyota I had was laggy and it was also a 2019

How is the active sound feature? When does it activate?
I honestly hear it all the time from 2.5k and up, i ve never driven another SI model year to know the difference though. My STI was obnoxiously loud so this is a ice welcome subtle trade.

IS there any infotainment center lag? did they fix it this is the only thing that is keeping me from buying it.
I'm very happy with the speed, my previous car had crazy lag and was frustrating at times but this one is much sharper and responsive.

Let me just add this, the car is beautiful and I love the comfortable seats and decent interior.Had to get use to the feather soft clutch, swear I almsot put it through the firewall the first time haha. The car is much slower then I'm use to and FWD will take some getting use to, but very fun to drive and i'm getting 15MPG better on my trips. I've also been using it to Dash for some extra cash and it's perfect for that. I also really like the camera on the side view and being able to activate it at will before using my turn signal.

All in all it's a great vehicle

I've been following this subject on the boards pretty obsessively for a while, for it has kept me from buying the Civic too. There is no indication that Honda has done anything, or plans to do anything, to improve the processing speed or software of this generation of Civic infotainment. There may have been tiny, marginal improvements in firmware from 2016 to 2019, but that's about it. It seems pretty clear that the system is what it is for this generation. All that said, the addition of adaptive cruise to the 2020 Si may convince me to get the car anyway, since the rest of the package is so strong.
There won't be any "fix" until a new infotainment is designed for the Civic, which won't happen until the next generation. The 2018 Accord is the first to have the updated infotainment which is a lot less laggy than what is in the Civic and you can look forward to a version of this to be in the next Civic.

Between the two versions of the 10thgen Si.. The biggest thing I see right now is the LEDs. I like them much more no question. It's better technology and classier looking headlight. I'll take the red decal on the dash as well. Which version of fake vents is subjective.

The logical cross-shops I'm thinking about are the Jetta GLI and (especially) the new Kia Forte GT. I'm 80 percent of the way there to the Civic Si as it is, but if the CivicX infotainment was even close in quality to VW or Hyundai/Kia, I'd be 100 percent of the way there.

- Quick Thoughts from a test drive of an Aegean Blue 2020 Si sedan (current own a 2017 Si)

- Worthy Upgrade? So my lease is almost up for my current Si and absolutely love the thing. For the price of the 2020 and all the updates (Honda Sensing, LED headlamps/fogs, updates to the infotainment), I feel it’s worth the upgrade. I eventually will be letting go of my leased white Si to a Modern Steal Metallic sedan once the dealer I went to is able to find one. In my opinion, for the price and its features the Si remains to be the best bargain performance car in the market.
I'm in the same boat, planning on trading in my leased '17 Si sedan instead of turning in the lease. If your miles are low like mine (16.5k right now) you may have a few thousand in equity.

*Driving in sport mode was the BIGGEST difference for me as I was able to hear the speaker infused exhaust note that was one of the updates for the 2020 model year. To be honest, it wasn’t really game changing for me. It let out a slightly louder exhaust note but not as prominent as the 2020 GLI which I also was able to test drive.

- Infotainment: Other than the addition of physical buttons i.e. Volume button, I did not notice any difference in terms of the “snappiness” of the infotainment in general. It was nice and welcomed change to FINALLY have physical buttons for the HVAC though, especially coming from currently driving a 2017.

- Driving experience: I’ll be as objective as possible but I feel the car to be SLIGHTLY quicker off the line. Granted, I was only able to drive roughly 2 miles but, at least to me, there was a difference in the pick up of speed from a stop. My mind set was to drive the car as I would normally drive my current Si.

What did you think of the GLI? I found it pretty disappointing - it feels big, seats not very comfortable, and the steering felt kind of distant. Definitely not a GTI minus hatch.

Does the sound only come on in sport mode? Is it a pleasant exhaust sound or just more of the same muffled engine noise from under the hood?

The only thing the GLI has over the Si is power. I was quite disappointed with it overall during my test drive especifically driving in sport mode.

Yeah, I found my Sport more fun to drive, shockingly. Feels lower, lighter, smaller and more connected. GTI is the better VW imo.

I think the sound tech is really cool. Hopefully someone can post a video for us to see
