Thanks for the photos looks great and super jealous.

Now I am going even more crazy thinking about that hood on my black Type R. With the continual debate to leave it carbon or paint it.

I installed the screen just now since it's 25% chance of rain this weekend. Took 2 minutes to install. It's crazy how perfect everything fit.

I'm still curious on this pan - to me it looks like it would just trap a puddle of water if you ever drove in the rain or were sitting outside during a shower. Do you have any concerns with that? Or is there some provision for it to drain that I can't see in the pictures?

Thanks again for the info!

Yeah... I'm pretty sure it's just going to trap water into a pool since there's nowhere for it to drain out. I guess it's better than nothing and you can just flip the hood open quickly for the water to dump out. It just wouldn't do well if it's pouring a lot. It's better than not having a cover though.

Edit- actually it looks like the water will feed into the little channels where the little side air vents are. Will have to see when it rains or during a wash

there’s two channels for it to drain out towards the front radiator cooling plate

I get mad when people don’t paint the mesh part, looks cheap on their car imo

If not painting the CF, suggest painting the white strip between the front of the hood and front grill black to match.

I got some gloss black vinyl in. Will be wrapping that white strip for now. I might vinyl the entire car so I don't want to paint the hood yet

Dammit.. They sent matte black strip of vinyl instead of gloss. Went ahead and wrapped it anyways.

Painted the grill and waiting for it to dry

Pics brother or it didn’t happen... don’t keep us in suspense ;) I really like the wrap idea. Hadn’t considered that. Very smart, in case you decide to change the look down the road?

lol beat me to the punch! Didn’t the see the photo when it first posted. I’m not really a fan of the black hood against a white car... until now. That looks pretty damn good man. That front wrap makes a big difference! More pics please.

Did you happen to take photos of the car with wrap but hood grill unpainted?
