Hey guys I just noticed something strange in my rear springs (Sportlines) and wanted to ask if anyone has seen this as well.

My rear driver side coil looks fully compressed but the rear passenger side coil doesn’t look fully compressed. See attached pics. Was this a bad install by the tuning shop? The car was on a slight parking ramp (nose down) when I took the pics, but still level left to right. Please let me know. Thanks!

That's wild. This car is sensitive imo...when you're not on an exact flat surface. I've noticed one side will be lower than the other from the slightest variance in a drive way...that was on factory springs.

But that's a big difference lol.

Try getting on a flat surface put it in gear and not having the ebrake and check...might have a friend near by making sure the car doesn't roll on you lol :) but like mentioned above...make sure they're not upside down?

ty! Sry for the late reply lol, looks like a decent drop, not too much, but just enough. What are your thoughts about it?
Overall very happy, drop is perfect, camber is perfect 2+ deg. on all corners, handling better in all modes, albeit with a bit more oversteer at the limit on the track, nothing crazy though.

thats good to hear! Oversteer is easily cancelled on the FK8 so thats ok lol! The increase in camber is slightly more than i expected, wonder how it will affect tire degradation.
What wheel specs do you have?

2 deg. camber will not degrade tires on the street and on the track it helps use all the tire tread and run lower pressures - all pros; the wheels in the photo are my daily set - 18x8 et42 225/45/18 Michelin PS4

It should look like the passenger side picture. It looks like your driver side spring is upside down (you should be able to see the silencers on the spring). Can you read the Eibach writing on the spring? It should be rightside up.
Took it back to the shop that did the install. They put it up on the alignment rack and let me inspect it. Apparently it’s fine. The passenger side spring has less coils facing the rear because it’s rotated 180 degrees vs the driver side, if that makes sense (so if you were looking at driver side from front of car it would have less coils showing). Does that sound accurate?

Also the eibach logo is right side up on both sides. I can confirm that.

Anyone have pictures to compare? Thanks!

I thought you took the pictures from a side angle. Here is what mine looks like from the passenger side (and driver side), when looking through the wheel. If yours looks like this then you are good.

Got around to installing my Eibach sportlines. Love them so far, no weird noises and the ride is almost like OEM.

Even been out on Thunderhill already and the drop is so mild you can still use all the curbing/ rumble strips.

Wheel setup is 18x9.5” +45 with a 275/35/18 RS-RR no rubbing. Front is -1.8 and rear is -2.2 camber. Front will be -2.5 or so soon once I install hardrace ball joints.

Nice! Did you use camber arms in rear? Any alignment issues?

Mine is still drifting to the right slightly

Yea I used the eibach rear camber arms as well. Funny enough my buddy had a hell of a time aligning it. Had to cover the side in blankets as he couldn’t get accurate readings with all the crazy body lines.

I don’t think you’d rub on any springs wing that narrow of a tire.
