Hey guys,

For those of you with FK8's that have not heard of us before I want to give you some framework on what you are about to read. For every major product, we design and create we make a series of design blogs. These blogs are meant to be a way to educate and bring you guys along the journey of our product development. We talk about everything from concept, design, testing, considerations, production, all the way to release. We ask you questions, take your feedback, and incorporate it into our designs. Examples of that are our window vents, shift knob, and SI exhaust. We actually design and give you what you want, not the other way around.

The link below is the part 1 design blog of our FMIC for the CTR. We took a look at all the options available on the market and felt there was still some room left on the table to improve on. We knew we could dive deeper into the core and extract more performance from key areas.

First thing is first however, in order to excel at making a better than OEM part we first need to understand the OEM part and that is what we bring to you today. So check out part 1 of our design blog series, leave a comment, and let us know what you think and what you would like to see. Lastly, stay tuned and follow along as we continue to make progress on not just this part but all we have for the FK8.

Might be to earlier but do you have an estimated release date?

Might get this over PRL depending on price/performance data

Just wanted to say that I appreciate how you explain your design methodology on the blog posts.
TBH your design seems to resolve issues that I've noticed about the current aftermarket ICs on the market now.
(eg. Sharp curves in the inlet endtank and the OE flange connection)

A question as well, are these turning vanes inside the endtank to distribute the air uniformly?

Yes they are, here is a cut-out of our cast end tank with the fins integrated. These help channel air flow through the entire core so we actually are able to maximize the full size of the unit.

Oooh, me likey.
Are you able/allowed to show on a chart how much of a pressure loss there is versus the OE one?
Also, I noticed that the endtank looks similar to the stock OE oval flange with the sharp 90deg bend, what was the reasoning for it not having smoother bends like the inlet?
