As some of the recalls started in February 2018, is it possible the later manufactured 2018’s were also given the software update as were all of the 2019’s?

Not surprised if the patch was included in the later software. I do not mind because I got a free oil change with the patch.

No. Mine was an early production of 2018 SI. I took delivery in Nov-2017.

Maybe I am not a observant kind of guy, I did not notice any difference before and after the patch. I definitely did not measure the warm up time, there are too many variables.

16-18 left the factory with the issue, which was fixed in a software update. 19s (and late 18s?) left the factory with the updated software, but nothing is mechanically different/improved.
If you could start over again would you still get the 18' or 19'+ 1.5t?

Yep. I've noticed no difference before and after the TSB. I drive 90% highway and have never had an issue with oil dilution thus far. Warranty extended by Honda, I'm not worried about it.

....Although if you're giving me the chance to start over, I may consider an Si coupe instead :p

My understanding of this oil dilution issue is because gas has less lubrication capability than engine oil, the engine will wear prematurely. This will show over time, not right away.

My car rides well but every time I smell the dipstick, it is reek of gas.
