Well, took possession of my SI last night. Loving the car so far, it's my first Honda and I'm also really enjoying the gas mileage. I'm sorry I never drove a previous SI to compare but overall I am happy with the car so far. It rides nice has decent acceleration and looks great. The headlights are awesome too although I don't like the auto High Beam feature driving to the gym at 5am its flashing at people when they pull out of side streets.

you can turn off the auto high beam by pulling the headlight lever once towards you (so you're flashing the high beams on purpose). Turn it back on by doing that process again. Once off, it stays off until you turn it off, even stays off the next time you start the car.

Caveat: i'm basing this on experience on my 2019 CR-V

Thanks, I will try this tonight. I really don't need the auto H-beams as the Lo are really efficient.

Or you can pull the headlight lever for 40 seconds until the auto high beam indicator blinks twice to permanently turn the system off. Pull the lever for 30 seconds until the the indicator blinks once to turn it back on. Turning the system off prevents it from toggling off and on when you pull the lever momentarily, such as when flashing to pass.

Or you can rotate the headlight switch to ON instead of AUTO. The auto high beam feature will not operate unless the headlight switch is rotated to the AUTO position.

How is the active sound feature? When does it activate?

IS there any infotainment center lag? did they fix it this is the only thing that is keeping me from buying it.
Highly doubtful that they would upgrade the infotainment system that was just updated last year.

I've been following this subject on the boards pretty obsessively for a while, for it has kept me from buying the Civic too. There is no indication that Honda has done anything, or plans to do anything, to improve the processing speed or software of this generation of Civic infotainment. There may have been tiny, marginal improvements in firmware from 2016 to 2019, but that's about it. It seems pretty clear that the system is what it is for this generation. All that said, the addition of adaptive cruise to the 2020 Si may convince me to get the car anyway, since the rest of the package is so strong.

- Quick Thoughts from a test drive of an Aegean Blue 2020 Si sedan (current own a 2017 Si)

*Driving in sport mode was the BIGGEST difference for me as I was able to hear the speaker infused exhaust note that was one of the updates for the 2020 model year. To be honest, it wasn’t really game changing for me. It let out a slightly louder exhaust note but not as prominent as the 2020 GLI which I also was able to test drive.

- Infotainment: Other than the addition of physical buttons i.e. Volume button, I did not notice any difference in terms of the “snappiness” of the infotainment in general. It was nice and welcomed change to FINALLY have physical buttons for the HVAC though, especially coming from currently driving a 2017.

- Driving experience: I’ll be as objective as possible but I feel the car to be SLIGHTLY quicker off the line. Granted, I was only able to drive roughly 2 miles but, at least to me, there was a difference in the pick up of speed from a stop. My mind set was to drive the car as I would normally drive my current Si.

- Worthy Upgrade? So my lease is almost up for my current Si and absolutely love the thing. For the price of the 2020 and all the updates (Honda Sensing, LED headlamps/fogs, updates to the infotainment), I feel it’s worth the upgrade. I eventually will be letting go of my leased white Si to a Modern Steal Metallic sedan once the dealer I went to is able to find one. In my opinion, for the price and its features the Si remains to be the best bargain performance car in the market.
