This product looks great! Does this have any inherent UV protection at all? I don't have tint on my windshield and I'm not a fan of using sun visors. I'm getting a slight sun fade on my seats but I also have a 60 month coverage on them that protects against stains and sun damage. Honda will replace my seats if they can't clean them. I'll be taking advantage of this if I can find a way to protect them from the sun :)

Hey, I just tagged you because you're local.

I applied this to one of my seats, and it seems like maybe I used too much liquid product or my foam brush is having transfer, but I'm seeing dark spots on the fabric. Did you notice anything when you were applying?
I got a bit too much on the first seat I did, once it dried out, all was ok. I may have brushed up the fabric a bit too, can't recall.

That middle section is noticeably darker in person.
You’re fine. It dries clear. Let it sit 24 hrs.

I bought the 303 fabric guard, but after seeing this video of the guy saying you should use the stain guard instead because it’s less harsh, I’ve become hesitant.
Is the fabric guard safe to use on our seats even though it says it’s for outdoor ?

I use 303 fabric protection on all interior frantic. Does it work? Absolutely...$24 bottle on Amazon. Else you can use whatever you'd like. I happen to use 303 for a long time.

How to apply your favorite fabric protectant without spraying so you don’t get it everywhere you don’t want to: pour into small container and paint it or apply thing later on fabric with a foam brush. Get yourself a 2-3" wide and a 1" wide disposable foam brush from Lowe's for 50 cents each.

Some love the sweet alcohol smell. Otherwise, leave your windows open overnight, and after a couple days it completely goes away.

Videos I show below is of water beading test after just 15 mins and hasn’t been overnight as it should be for maximum protection.

See the hot coffee spill test video.

Best of all - lint, dust, or crap just balls up with finger or blows out window if you roll down while driving.

Thank you for doing this for us to see the result. Just curious, do you use it on the door trim as well?

I haven't noticed any difference but I wouldn't reapply this product. We've since learned that ctrmofo exclusively promoted products that he either received for free or was paid to advertise.
While this is true, it doesn't automatically mean that any product the guy endorsed is bad. We really can't know without testing it ourselves (which review pages are supposed to help out with, not his though). There is no problem with receiving free product to review (I do see a problem if money changes hands though or if the samples are sold); the problem only arises when a person is more of a salesman or PR rep than he is a reviewer; at that point it becomes a problem. Money changing hands is also very bad as well. A good reviewer should be able to compare and contrast competing products and be a safe center ground to develop and unbiased opinion of the products at hand (I rarely, if ever, see any competing products reviewed on that review page).

Keep in mind the guy does give high marks to PRL and Hybrid Racing which both seem to make great products and have a lot of happy users, even here on these forums.

I feel like the best way to take his reviews is more of a press release, maybe a sales pitch, than a true to life review. There still is useful information in his reviews, but at the same time there are inaccuracies or hype to it; sometimes separating the two becomes very difficult and is the major issue with the stuff they write.

I've met him at a couple events, and chat with him on occasion. He organized Hondata to come out with Doug and Daniel Butler to do a "jailbreaking" tour (and it stopped in Ohio) back before it was all remote.

You would get jailbroken, get Hondata installed, and listen to Hondata Doug's seminar about Hondata, and a short Q and A session. It was really cool to talk to Doug directly.

He likes to run his page as a tight ship, and prefers people stay on topic. He is scientific in what he says, and prefers data over opinions for the most part.

I found it weird how people are attacking him for no solid reason other than difference of opinion on how to run a review page.

seems kinda childish in my opinion

I've also seen his CTR parked in front of the Hondata/PRL Booth at midwest Eibach 2019, so I know hes active within the community in some regard.

He's a good dude, and albeit he may be a bit biased sometimes, he mostly talks about relevant products from solid companies, and publishes good tutorials on how to install them. Personally, I haven't seen any bad info, to each their own I suppose....

I wouldn't call him scientific by any stretch of the imagination, he's far from it. If a number supports his claim, he uses it and supports it, otherwise he'll ignore it or act like it doesn't exist. I'll quote another person as it seems accurate, about 80% of what he says is good information while the other 20% is total BS used to push product and boost his ego; the problem is determining which 20% is the BS and which 80% is not. He makes false claims about who he is (claimed he help found Hondata and has weekly meetings with them) or what he does (report you to Honda for jailbreaking your car if you get into a disagreement with him) or has done in the past (track instructor for Porsche) to make himself seem like he's more of an authority than he is.

If a company agrees to support him in his review page by sending product or paying, he'll do everything in his power to push that product extremely strongly. If a company doesn't want to do that, he'll spread lies and rumors and slander the company to the ground (SWEIDIT is the main example of this).

If you disagree with him for any reason, you're banned. Doesn't matter if you're right or if you're wrong, you're banned and eventually blocked. If he has no arguments against you he'll belittle you, bully you, and just try to walk all over you to get you to agree (countless examples of people with their screenshots regarding this). He'll even snoop on your social media profiles trying to dig up dirt to make it seem like he is better than you. Othertimes he'll claim that he can blackmail you to get you to submit. It isn't a "tight ship" it's a straight up I want to be a dictator.

Edit: He might have been a good dude at one point, maybe even had good intentions originally. I could believe that. But he's gone down a very dark path since then with his most recent activity.

Edit: also added in some small examples of stuff he's done in the past.

I guess I would have to disagree, because it's his page and he can run it how he pleases? It's not really his job to cater to being unbiased, nor provide you or anyone else with "credibility".

He set up the page like any other Joe out there, so it's his content, and It's fine for people to not like his content or care for how he handles people. nobody is immune from criticism, but There are plenty of other places to go for reviews, why not go there? If he bans you, then who cares?

again, it's childish to attack someone you don't know, and attack someones character personally (i'm not saying you did this, but people in the other threads have) when you can just move to any other page at any time.

My main issue with the "mob" here attacking him, isn't that they rip on his content or reviews, but saying he's: "toxic for the community" and "a bad dude" when you don't know him at all.

That's literally character assassination, and that is my only problem with this whole ordeal

@Bighouse20 @Ducky
I’ve had several people and COMPANIES reach out to to tell me their story of how Aston aka CTRMOFO aka FK8 Products Reciew pages has mistreated them with trying to strong arm them for free products. When they didn’t comply, he would not recommend them by making false claims about them (Eventuri intake was slandered by him). I have numberous screenshots to prove this is not hearsay.

The problem is that the community does not benefit from someone so biased. If his intentions were clear, that he prefers his partners products, then okay sure. But he makes up false claims by saying “oh Eventuri has failed tests” or “they don’t know what their doing because I’ve been racing for years with a Honda Team” or “I’ve been involved with development For this product”.

it needs to be cleared up that we have a habitual liar that will ban you from his pages if you refute his claims. He’s created an echo chamber. So today I saw he’s been removed as moderator from the big FB FK8 Civic Type R page. People can finally refute claims and have discussions without being banned for not being aligned with Aston’s ideology.

Please do not full quote posts with lots of pictures.

ctrmofo is banned. I wouldn't do it on the door trim since the doors are MUCH cheaper and easier to replace.
Thank you for letting me know. You mention that you wouldn't reapply this product bc ctrmofo was not reviewing the product with integrity. But with your personal experience after apply it yourself. Would you say it is safe for me to use it also? My 303 arrive tmr and I am wondering if I should us it or not. Much appreciated!

303 makes good products. I see no reason not to use this, despite the potential for a paid\compensated OP. That doesn't change the effectiveness of 303.
