That reminds me of the time my dad managed to back into my previous civic while I was sleeping because he wasn’t using his mirrors and just the backup camera and misjudged.

Most awkward conversation ever... imagine getting woken up and being told “by the way I accidentally hit your car and dented it some”.
I had this EXACT thing happen to me. Did he pay for it. I let him off the hook.

He paid the insurance deductible but that's it, I said he didn't have to but he insisted.

Well... I got the RevMatch and Emissions error after a spirited pull.
Took the car to Honda, they said I should take off my Eventuri intake and put the stock one back on before they can do additional tests.
They removed the codes, but on my drive back home they turned on again...

so that's been fun.
Your car is probably getting the P0172 or P0101 codes, I used Hondata to disable those codes because I had an aftermarket intake and my car has been running smooth ever since.

Having a daily driver and being busy at work, not having enough time to do any car stuff, and having another car to take out for a fun drive will do that to you.

I do feel like its a waste having it sometimes. I've actually had the car for a little over 2 years and I've only put on 1200 miles so far this year and 600 of it was past 2 months because i needed to burn the ethanol in my tank and in the process of doing an etune. If it wasn't for that, it'd probably still be hovering around 600 ...
I'm not like purposely trying to keep the miles low though. Just don't have enough time to split the fun drives i take between two cars.

I have been thinking about moving down to only 2 cars recently though. That would actually be the smarter choice for me but idk lol.

I just traded in my 370Z for the Type R. I'd had it for almost a decade so I was ready for a change. I love it and still miss it but I have nowhere to park him when I'm not driving it....He never stranded me and at 75K was in mint condition. such a great car. And, the fellas at the370z.com are a great helpful bunch.

i always leave a big note that says DASH CAM IS RUNNING so that they know not to fuck with it.
that's a good idea. I never bring it to the dealer but totally gonna do this if i run into a situation where i have to.

Yeah i've always wanted a Z and finally got one but idk. Aside from the seats which i love, the interior just feels bleh after a while. Along with the heavy flywheel which frustrates me more than i thought it would. Other than that, the car is great. Still thinking about "fixing" the things i don't like about the car or just selling the Z and the ILX and moving down to 2 cars so i won't have a car that's basically sitting going to waste. Went to look at a few supras over the weekend and i may just pull the trigger on that.

Yeah, after waiting 10 years for an updated model I got tired of waiting...besides that infotainment center was getting old also. Since I got the CTR they'll probably update the Z next year and make it irresistible for me to upgrade, lol. I waited at least 7 years Nissan!!!

Classic, thank you for sharing.

Sorry to see this knucklehead behind the wheel of your car...but I lol’d watching the video. Too funny, but that confirms what I suspect happens at some dealerships.

Can totally feel your pain. Took my car to the dealer for a battery swap a few months back and I swear the car had (2) additional miles on it when I picked it up, smh.

Ordered a carlift the next day and swore off taking my car to the dealer for service, unless it’s for something major.. but I’ll research it first to make sure it’s beyond my capabilities.

Took the car into Honda today to get a tire puncture plugged.

I sent the video to the service manager, at least he apologized and said he spoke with the staff.
I complained to the service advisor, but they didn't really react. I would be a lot more pissed if I were watching a video of the guy booting it around up and down the streets.
