Yes , I’m using high temp lava titanium wrap , and definitely the temps are lower wen you are standing or low speed traffic.

This is my current setup, I’m doing more testing and research, at the moment having great results , here in Florida the ambient temperatures are crazy high , so I’m doing everything I can for keep my power.

Have you tried any of the Zircoflex heat shield products? I'm thinking of trying the Zircoflex I on the PRL HVI I still haven't installed yet.

Absolutely! , here is the link

Heatshield Products 770001 0.008" Thick x 12" x 24" Lava Heat Shield Mat (With Adhesive) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0055BXZKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_V9jIDb021S7BW

This material is good when you need to insulate heat from inside and not reflect heat , if you try for insulate the intake you need something different, like the heat reflecting tape .
What made you go with this on the hood vs reflective tape? My plan was to reflective tape the intake inlet, intake box, MAF sensor and the same spot on the hood. Then I have DEI titanium wrap for my downpipe along with a turbo blanket

I used for the intake box , for the hood I used titanium sheet , because when I tried with heat reflecting material it got very hot, almost no difference with nothing, but with the titanium sheet was very notorios on the intake temperatures , it took longer on raise the temperatures and when you are driving get could faster

I see. I’ll have to give it a try. Is it the same sheet you linked?

This is interesting , thanks!
I did some more digging and a replacement filter for the fk2 type R is allready available and cost around €88 which is aprox 90-100$ for their regular filter media.Fk8 replacements are coming by the end of this year and the airbox with 3 different filters cost €1550 which is around $1700 .

What do you mean for filter replacement? we already have filter replacement with OEM fitting. from Green filters and K&N, and there is a couple more.

There was also another article on that page from a magazine "Elaborare Tuning" that tested the C-tech (Sprint filter) airbox
https://issuu.com/sprintfilter/docs/sprint_filter_c_tech_intake_honda-t

There you can see the installation and full testing with dyno graphs.

Also found some prices of the stock replacement filters for the FK2 Civic Type-R
The P08F1-85 filter with their waterproof and highest flow is costly €241 ( $260)
The regular P08 filter is normal priced at €80

Very interesting product. Thanks for providing the pictures and links. This would be something good to try in a product.

I notice a lot of people complained about the adhesive and said it didn't stick well, even after cleaning the surface of the item they were sticking it too. Other's complained at how thin it was. It's still worth a try though.
