Hi folks ... Here's a real head scratcher.:dunno:

I have installed LED Turn Signal Bulbs, Sirius LED with integral Load Resistors (Front) and Oxilam LED with integral Load Resistors (Rear).

In stop and go traffic, they function normally for about the first 60 seconds, then go into Hyperflash mode.
When they have been in Hyperflash mode, I have looked in the reflection of cars around me, and can see that both are working.
The next time I use that blinker, the blinker functions normally again, for the first 5 - 30 seconds, then goes back into Hyperflash mode.
[Left Turn Signal and Right Turn Signal will exhibit this behavior]

I can only assume that the Load Resistors are over heating, and the electrical signal then bypasses the Load Resistor, and pushes the bulb into Hyperflash mode.
However, I can't for the life of me figure out to test and figure out which bulbs are at fault.

I don't do a LOT of driving, where I sit for an extended time with my Turn Signals on ... but it's a real quandary.

Any suggestions or anecdotal stories is welcome.

Thanks

There's too little resistance in the circuit causing the blinker relay to heat up and cycle prematurely (it's temperature controlled). The best way to deal with this is to use a solid-state blinker relay replacement. It's a drop-in affair and you don't need to worry about installing resisters.

My blinkers flash normally, until they have been flashing for about 60 seconds.
Then they go into Hyperflash.
[Perhaps I should have also specified that it's when I am using them as Turn Indicators (not Hazard Flashers, as your's are operating in your video clip) that I am having the issue.]

I'm not saying that your TypeRLED's wouldn't solve the problem ... just that your video illustrates a slightly different scenario than I am experiencing (Hazard Indicators vs. Turn Signal).
I appreciate the video, and that you shared it. I'll certainly keep the TypeRLED's as a possible solution.

(side note: I have had my Hazard Flashers going for the last 15 minutes, to test if they jump into Hyperflash, and they are functioning normally)

I will test tomorrow if they hyperflash with just the turn signal going, but leaving Tuscaloosa on Friday evening I got caught at a light and was sitting there in the turn lane for a few minutes with no hyperflash.

So I tested the left and right rear blinkers for 5+ minutes each with no hyper flash. The typerleds have resistors built in.

Anyone know if these will work with the 2020 si coupe without hyperflashing? If not does anyone know of a reputable load resistor that'll work?

I contacted the guy that makes the plug and play resistors for $80. But unfortunately after a couple of email exchanges including pictures of the wire harness of the 2020 Si coupe taillights he currently does not have the materials to make the connectors needed to work.
