Why is it so hard to get the strut back in on the front? Is there something I am missing that makes this whole process easier? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to take the hub off to make it easier, otherwise you'll be there forever installing it like I did.

It is quite easy actually, but I know what you mean before I got down the trick to doing it I also struggled. I've done 3 sets of springs now on Civic Sis and have done it a few different ways that make it quite easy. I will list em below, I hope they make sense.

1st method: tug the axle out slightly which will allow the hub to move a lot more making it easy to put the strut back in. This will require you to undo 3 lower ball joint nuts and disconnect it from the hub. The negative of this is that you got to be careful around the axle boot and then you got to pop the axle back in by turning the rotor which can be annoying.

2nd method: Tilt the hub forward and back with a good amount of force with the strut still attached to the top strut mount to get the strut out, and then it will go back in the same way. This one felt kind of sketchy but I've done it a few times now and haven't broken anything. It has also been the fastest so far, I did all 4 lowering springs on a Civic Si the other day in about a little over 2 hours the other day.

Well, I got the things installed, and now I'm still hearing noises. I have quadruple checked every single bolt and nut, and they are all as tight as they will get. I double checked that the springs are in the rubber boots. The noise is beyond random, sometimes it'll occur while driving on a flat straight, sometimes around a corner, sometimes on a bump. Other times I go down the bump on the drive way and I hear NOTHING. There does not seem to be any pattern to it. HALP

It's likely your front sway bar, you might have misaligned it or not tightened the nuts on the end links well enough. Raise the front on both sides at the same time then remove the end links and put them back making sure they go on smoothly and both sides look the same. If you did not tighten the bottom 3 nuts on the ball joint it will also random make noises

I once did something really stupid (especially since I had assembled a few before) but when I was installing a lowering kit on my old 94 accord I forgot the washer that went on the shock BEFORE the upper shock mount went on (Koni Sport Yellows) and it resulted in the rods of the shock pushing through the upper shock mount and hitting the underside of the hood. Perhaps you did something similar?
