Anyone else tired of rocks in their front brakes? I got tired of digging them out and designed a front brake shield. The current one is just 3D printed but decided to get it made out of metal and powder coated now that I know it works. I had a few fellow CTR owners ask if I'd make extras because its such an annoying issue. Figured I'd post this here before having them made. Any interest in this front brake rock shield? Works great and bolts up using two OEM bolts up front no modifications needed. I was worried it'd be blocking lots of hot air leaving the hub/ rotor but have done a track day on them and noticed no change to my brakes.

Again the proof of concept I made is 3D printed but the real ones will be metal and powder coated black. Could maybe do another color if there is enough interest but wasn't sure anyone else wanted these. I was just tired of my brakes sounding like they were metal on metal all the time. Unless we get quite a few people to lower the cost it'd be $150/ set shipped in the US, could do international too but would be a bit more for shipping.

Pretty darn awesome man. Would this also work with non-oem rotors?

Currently on OEM but may switch to girodisc

If so I’m interested :)

I could ask for an exact metal but just sheet metal and then powder coated. I assume sheet metal is just steel but I sent a message asking if aluminum is possible.

Will do, they’ll be powder coated black so no rust ever.

More like front brake rock collector hah. Whenever I wash my car I spend 5 minutes just spraying my front left brake with the pressure washer. It stops the noise... For like a day maybe.

How large are the rocks that have typically get stuck in the brakes? Curious if drilling small cooling holes to permit airflow would make any sense?

We considered the idea but after testing these on track the brakes didn’t overheat or feel any different so we didn’t bother. If they don’t overheat on track there is nothing to worry about.

still making them?
I never got them made as I didn’t get enough interest. I keep slowly getting messages about it so I might actually just get some made
