My Civic SI actually got me to quit vaping, lol. I Vaped for about 5 years before I bought the car, wife wouldn't let me do it around the kids or house, so I'd do it in my old car and at work. Once I got the Si I wanted to keep it nice and clean so I kept the windows up and never Vaped inside it. Then it became an inconvenience so I quit altogether. Been nicotine free for a year.

I started smoking when I was 14 or 15, like many young people in the 1950s and 1960s.
I quit in 1983 after 30 years of smoking. I don't have never touched a cigarette or anything
else to compensate.
I just had my annual medical check-up at my regular doctor's office.
He told me that everything was fine.
In fact, I have made up for it with sport: cycling, nordic skiing, downhill skiing, windsurfing,
( for me, it's the most beautiful sport ) and gym 3 times a week, I am the dean with my 81 years old.

I have changed my computer and anti-virus sofware.I could no longer enter the forum as if I was a new member
and I was told that my e-mail adress and my user name was already occupied by another one, but it has been
mine for years.
I had to change my user name from Old George to vieux georges to get the forum.
I hope that the site administrators will modify the system so that such things do not happen again.

The fact you are still so active at 81 is amazing? You should be a poster man for elderly people heck any person everywhere!

I hope to be as active in my later years as you have been lucky to be.

Here is to you windsurfing, cycling, skiing, and working out for well into your 100’s!

I smoke, and I hate myself so much for it. Went to flick a butt out the window and the wind changed and it sent the butt straight into my back seat, got a nice hole in there now. Lost grip on a cigarette, it fell in the void zone under my driver's seat and burned a really big hole down there. Ashes are always on the side of my car from ashing out the window. Nicotine addiction is a bitch, don't smoke, kids!

I voted YES. I've been a smoker since I was 18 (when I joined the Army) and I'm 47 now. My 6 yr. old son hates it. When I was test driving my Si I noticed first thing that there was no ashtray, lol. Those damn healthy Japanese :). After I got it I was on the fence about even smoking in the car. Needless to say my wife and I both ended up smoking in the car. A few weeks back my wife knocked off the ash, by accident, and burned a hole in my passenger seat. I was pretty damn upset about it but that kind of thing happens if you smoke. One of the pitfalls besides being bad for your health and the smell. We'd both love to quit and tried vaping but it just wasn't the same. Besides that I was spending more on vape juice then I was on cigs. Although I've smoked now for about 29 years now, was in all those oil well fires in Kuwait, my lungs are still great. But really I'd love to quit and also have the extra cash to add more mods!

I wish you the will of stop. After a few weeks, you will feel another man.
At the age of 53, I stopped suddenly. Every night, I would run in my
neighborhood first 1km, then 1,5, then 2.....till 6.
It was hard, I didn't have a breath.
For me, it was a way to free myself of nicotine slavery.
I felt myself revived because I was the winner.
With all my heart, good luck.

Edit: 5 years later, I had an x-ray of my lungs:
all traces of tar had disappeared.
