DMV and Suspended license

Trying to help an uncle who lives in Las Vegas that has a suspended license in the state of Nevada. He wants to move back to California and has a job opportunity (driver for health care facility).

Would he be able to apply for a drivers license in the state of California if he has a suspended license in Nevada?

No he will not.
If he were to apply for a CA DL he would need to surrender his current DL. They will do the standard NCIC check through the system to check for any negative information.

Might want to get a lawyer to help with this. But like the previous poster, no. He won't be able to get a license unless he can clear up whatever it is that's in the way. It's also unlikely his potential employer will allow him to work when it finds out his license was suspended too.
