I don’t know why you guys bother with eBay for a $20 savings. I ordered mine on amazon same day at 6:30am and it arrived the same day by 5:45pm. Seems worth the extra $20 for speedy delivery and no hassle.
i don't order anything from china when i'm in a hurry. with 1,200 miles on my car and winter storage it will probably be several years or more before i actually need the brake tool. not too upset about it. am looking at the Foxwell products now but the NT415 is currently out of stock.

i just ordered an Autel ap200 on Amazon and there is currently a $15 coupon going on now, and it will arrive tomorrow! Go check it out.

I m like your situation that i m storing my car for the winters, but i m still getting it now coz i can use it to read code and check status, pretty handy

Thanks to mecheng and Harlaquin

+2 I ordered an Autel as well.
Autel does have a hot line for support - I tried it and the ppl there are very professional and helpful. We've come to realize that the "Datalog" is only a feature for submitting the report to their support team and we won't be able to replay/review the captured data. I found the so called "Text" file that stores the data, but the content is gibberish so it's no use. If anyone figures out a way to "decode" that data, it'd be awesome!!

So far, i love the product. It connects to my phone quickly. However, I need to have the car in "running" in order to use the "Auto Scan" to read the VIN though. Anyone else has the same behavior?

PS - To stop hijacking this thread, for any feedback/info/question on Autel, please post them to https://www.civicx.com/threads/question-about-autel-ap200.40608/

I replaced my rear pad over the weekend, and it is so F-ing easy with the proper tool...thank you all for the Amazon links, but I did have to modify the tool slightly for it to work.
Someone prolly covered this in the previous 2 pages that I didn't read...but I'll explain anyways...1st of all, the handle on both the RH and LH are fixed to the tool, so HOW CAN WE SLIDE THE BIG PLATE WITH ROUND HOLE ON TO THE TOOL??? Easy, I just cut one end of the handle so I can pull handle out and slide the plate in...see picture..30 mins 1st side, and 15 mins the other side...

oh, use the "RH" tool with the "K2" adapter.

Do you need to adjust the rear ebrake after replacing the rear pads? Are the electric ones self adjusting? Thank you in advance.
I used the electronic method with the obd2 port device. For me the e break reset itself after I didnt have to adjust anything. Im not sure with manual method but would guess its same. It just resets itself after no problem.

Again, thank you Mecheng and Harlaquin... I haven’t swapped my brake pads yet

(does anyone have suggestions? Are fronts and rears the same? I’m a brake newb)

But I used the Autel 200 to fix my wife’s Toyota RAV4 this past weekend after it started misfiring. The Autel was easy to use and figure out.. told me exactly which cylinder it was and gave possible problems.

Swapped the ignition coil and put new spark plugs and bammo! Her car was fixed.

Very pleased with the Autel. Can’t wait to use it for the rear brake swap.

Really appreciate you guys found this and shared.

I would add, I paired it to my wife’s Toyota (for free)... it seems like the cost will be $21.99 per year to add Honda to its “library”..

Thinking it might be more economical in the long run to buy a 2nd Autel 200 to pair to Honda for free?

Mine said 15 to add a car... its per year? The front and back pads are different. Every body has a different part number. Just got to research.

Yes... mine showing $21.99... per make. I thought Insaw somewhere it was per year...Which is why I haven’t purchased the Honda pack yet... thinking no reason to register until ready to do the brakes..
Will try to confirm.

The make the Autel is initially paired to is forever..

Just looked at Amazon and the price is now showing $70.99. No coupon visible now.

If looking to use the Autel for a 2nd car of different manufacturer... the better long term value would seem to be buying a 2nd Autel for that make of car so its forever... not the per year subscription that is offered, unless you don’t intend to keep that car for long.

Mines $21.99 to add a 2nd vehicle make.. does anyone have a less price showing?

First make (Toyota in my case) paired to is infinite. Forever.

Still a better long term value unless adding a 2nd make is forever also.. not per year like I thought I saw.
