do you mind posting the instructions and links for parts? Its a really cool feature! Nice job done!
Hey sure, I bought a kit from Tegiwa imports located in England. It lists the price as 652 GBP but once you enter in you're from the USA, tax is not factored in. And with DHL shipping, I think mine came out to about 550 GBP total which is about $680 US dollars. The price might change due to the current exchange rate.

I learned a lot of information from a DIY already posted on this forum by @17CivicTypeR_Brian: https://www.civicx.com/threads/diy-edm-power-fold-mirrors-56k-no.16107/

The mirrors also come with turn signals, and I ended up wiring those too thanks to this DIY from @Blacklude4: https://www.civicx.com/threads/diy-adding-turn-signal-lights-to-si-ex-side-mirrors.19619/ If you check out the last couple of pages, thanks to @Dan0974 for figuring out the two wires to tap into under the dash for the turn signals.

Hope this helps. It was a fun project. There is wiring involved but nothing too terrible. Getting to know how to depin the connectors with a precision flathead screwdriver also is beneficial since you can reuse connectors instead of cutting and splicing.

Just out of curiosity. What does xpel cost? Always thought it was a great idea but never pulled the trigger thinking it was pricey.

Everything cost me $1813 after tax. Xpel and Ceramic Coating. By far the best price out of everyone in Miami

Dude after seeing you post that, it got me interested. It seems pretty good for the ppf and ceramic. But damn 1.8k is hard to swallow.

A couple more options: Respray the front every few years for ~$400 (?) or DIY PPF for $290? And CQuartz is like $85 if going DIY route.

It’s not easy and I give a lot of credit to PPF professionals but if you are willing to learn and don’t mind some imperfections, you can save a lot of money. Not to mention it’s a great trade to learn.

I did mine and saved myself upwards of $1500 to put towards performance upgrades. In the future if I were to pick up something $60K or more, I will let the professionals do the PPF install. But for anything less, such as an SUV for the wife, I will most likely do it myself. You truly get a greater appreciation for the car when you’re going over all the details of the car by doing it yourself. And having some minor imperfections in order to pocket $1500+ seems reasonable to me.

Check out this website for some quality PPF. I did the Suntek Ultra on mine and it’s so clear that you can barely see it in most angles. Shout out to @fenix-silver for his DIY PPF thread.

I hear you completely... Honestly you can just Ceramic Coat the car for around 600-800. The PPF is around 1200+ Most places here in Miami were quoting me 3-4k...

A few things factored into my decision:

I Live in Miami and it is brutally hot here, I also do not have a garage, so I was tied to having a pro do it. It also came out nearly perfect (A few minor imperfections that they are going to fix)

Additionally it comes with a full 10 year warrant and Xpel PPF is the best in the industry. The Ceramic Coating they used comes with a 5 year warranty and can -only- be purchased by a certified shop.

Prepped the car for the track. This stuff is great. Waterless car wash then a quick spray wax. It peels right off afterwards with no residue. Doesn’t stick great to itself so be aware of that as you put it on.
