All smooth until I get to this. I didn't see any instructions on the actual removal of the hose. How do I remove this? There's no head to unscrew

1.) Pretty much muscle-f*k and pull it out

or

2.) Use small vise grip or needle nose pliers and slowly unscrew it.

It would have been nice to see this detail in the instructions, my car is in pieces and I'm stuck until I get this crap off.

It’s not going to break. I used a little bit of water with a flat head and asked my dad to help slide it off. That was the most time consuming out of everything. The rest is a breeze!

I would have been done in just under an hour if it weren't for that damn screw. I was anticipating difficulty with the silicone hose but it went on with no gap. I did leave the box loose without snapping it in on the bottom. That made maneuvering the hose easy.

This is the second picture from batch #2 that I see that the intake hose looks longer and have no gaps. I did ask my friend to measure his and its 1/2 inch longer than the one I have. I thought PRL said that it was designed that way. I don’t understand.

There is no difference in the silicone for the 2nd batch of intakes, we did design them with slight (1-2mm) tolerances in mind. The silicone is curved and pliable and therefore is difficult to measure precisely to compare pieces as your measuring points are likely off to create that much of a difference between the two.

I found myself fighting to get the hose in and was scared I'd break something so I decided to pull the box off the grommet and that made all the difference. I was able to position the hose and line up everything. Then tightened the hose clamp on the turbo inlet leaving no gap. Then I snapped the air box on the grommet and tightened the remaining hose clamps. Other than the headless screw the install was not too difficult and the quality of this kit is amazing.

Again thanks to those that helped me with that headless screw :D

Hello friends. I was inspecting my intake kit this evening, and I noticed that my silicone tube has a small amount of dark discolored gunk on the inside. It appears to be more of a stain versus actual stuck on crud. There also appears to be some minor gouging on the inside.

Just to confirm - this is nothing to worry about, right?

Does the flange rub that black pipe that directly behind it in that position? Mine does and it was driving me insane because either my hoses hit the hood or the flange rubs that black pipe that's behind it. I assume rubbing the metal pipe isn't good. Anyone have suggestions? I spent a few hours trying to get it in a good position moving the intake hose and the flange.

Also, how the hell do I remove and clean the filter? Remove the ECU to remove the side access panel?
