Sounds nice and quiet which is what I like, are you running the oem downpipe and front pipe?
Everything OEM besides exhaust. Sounds like stock or a tiny bit louder.
Only way for it to drone is if you cruise at 90mph and hit 4k rpm.

Eventually want to put a downpipe/frontpipe but will probably go catted.

I just got this exhaust with the Apex'i front pipe. After doing a test drive I can say the following.

If you want a deep rich tone that is not raspy, this exhaust is for you. The sound clips of drive by's that are on Instagram/YouTube don't do it justice. If you put your foot down, there is a deep tone that rings throughout the cabin and once you lift off the accelerator to go into cruise mode, it becomes very quiet. There is drone; however, it is equivalent to what you would hear with the stock exhaust, maybe slightly louder. I am talking about 2-3 db difference.

If you want a exhaust with a deep tone that you can live with everyday, without ridiculous drone, I would not hesitate to buy this exhaust.

I have a RV6 catted downpipe coming in next week. After I get that on my car, I'll let everyone know how the sound changed and if drone has increased.

I'm liking this exhaust, as you all said, slight deeper sound then stock without any rasp, nice burnt tips but wish they kept the 3 tip design. Will be waiting on your review after your PV6 DP gets installed. If it adds some pops without changing the tone much would be perfect.

Alright, just finally installed my RV6 catted downpipe and it was a PITA to install. Before I give you my feedback, I need to clarify/update you on my last post.

When I gave my feedback, it was on KTuner Stage 1. As I put more miles on the exhaust, the sound mellowed out. In WOT, the sound is pretty similar to my original post, but if you were to accelerate from a standstill with the accelerator around 30%, you do notice that the exhaust sound has quieted a bit. Drone was now near identical as the stock exhaust.

After installing the RV6 catted downpipe, I wanted to see how loud the car got and on Stage 1. After doing a little loop around my neighborhood, the sound didn't really change; it was identical to when I didn't have the downpipe.

When I got back, I flashed the Stage 1 + DP and man.....cold start is significantly louder than before. If I were to estimate the noise increase, it is about 25-35% louder at cold start. It's not loud to a point where you are going to wake up your whole neighborhood. During WOT, the exhaust noise has also increased; about 25-35%. I would say that you are right at the limit of what you would find tolerable for individuals who want a loud exhaust but not obnoxiously loud. Drone has also increased but I will provide more accurate feedback tomorrow when I go to my car meet and go through a more through test on the interstate.

Dang. That much louder even with a cat? Waiting to see how it is on the highway since 90% of my miles are highway cruising 80mph to work.

Yeah I was quite surprised myself. I can't imagine running this without a cat. After my post tomorrow, I'll make another post after 500 miles to see if the sound toned down along with drone.

If APEXI is one of the more quiet exhausts on the market, I can't imagine how loud the Js' racing exhaust sounds like with a catted downpipe more so without a cat.

Alright, so an update to my post yesterday.

Cold Start - Cold Start compared to yesterday is completely different. I would state that sound has increased maybe 5-10% but you can tell that it is slightly louder for sure. I think the reason why it was loud yesterday was it being reflashed and it being installed for the first time.

General Exhaust Noise - In this area, the exhaust note has also increased. Its not as much as I stated yesterday but more in the line of 10-15% range. When you go at it, the deep tone is more pronounced in the cabin.

Drone - Overall, drone has slightly increased in the cabin. If you are cruising at above 2000 RPM there will be drone. I would say the sweet spot that is close to stock would be between 2500-3000 rpm. If you go over this, drone is going to increase. This also correlates to how much you are pressing the accelerator. If you keep the accelerator at 20%, you most likely will get stock drone levels until 3000 rpm and anything above that, drone noise will increase. Cruising in 6th gear going 70mph, I would state that the road noise is louder than the drone that you hear. Since everyone has a different tolerance level for drone, I cannot say for certain if you think it is too loud or not. What I can say is that, even with the drone, I am still able to have a conversation with my friends who were sitting in the passenger seat and behind me. Like the characteristic of the exhaust, the drone is very deep sounding unlike a Tomei exhaust where you feel like your ears are going to bleed after 10 mins of driving it. If you are really concerned about drone, I would say to get a front pipe but forego the downpipe. If you don't mind the slight increase in drone, go for it. For me personally, the slight increase in drone doesn't really bother me much.

@dormiens_fk8 Thank you for the honest feedback and review. This exhaust sounded very nice with the first few videos available.

Do you have any sound clips?
