Smelled a faint burnt oil smell the other day with the AC running, so thought I might have a slow leak on either the oil or transmission drain, since fluids were just drained..

Popped the cover to inspect and nada, bone dry.
Then noticed a little oily residue on this where the screwdriver is touching. Not sure what could have caused it. Wiped clean and will monitor.

Accelerometer-based 3rd brake light flasher prototype. Will try to post the car moving and braking this weekend. The 'taps' I'm doing underneath the light is to shake the accelerometer module.

I finally had time to add the Auto Interior Technic suede steering wheel wrap and shifter boot. Took longer than expected but was pleased with the end results.

Looks like they gave you a piece of Alcantara that has the name stamped in it for your boot.

The leather on my steering wheel is starting to flake. This looks like a decent way to deal with the issue and upgrade to alcantera. How much thicker does this make the steering wheel though?
Japanese suede 1.0mm and the Alcantera is 0.8 mm but the price difference is like 100 bucks so i went with Japanese suede. I like the added thickness and dont have to wear gloves when I drive. Sweaty hands! I actually took of the steering wheel off which made it easier to work with. Very happy to drive with it on I am not a fan of leather.

That looks really good! Did you paint over the red stripe on the wheels or did you do it some other way like plastidip ect??

Wow, looks great. Besides the cost and thickness, what is the difference between Japanese suede and Alcantera? I realize that Alcantera is a trademarked brand name, but anything different in the material, as far as you know? Did you end up using the tape in the installation? I wouldn't want to mess up the OEM steering wheel. I did something similar with my old 9th Gen Si and it came out great (I had to remove the steering wheel to do it right).

Looks great. How does it drive? Does it pull left and right when you get on it hard? I have more aggressive offset wheels on mine and it definitely effected the torque steer.
