Does anyone feel like comfort mode is over dampened to where it feels like your shocks are blown out on any sort of road surface that’s not fully smooth?

There’s a road I take that has a section where it’s very uneven and comfort mode makes the car (and myself) bounce up and down like I blew out my springs.

On most roads it’s fine but if you find the ones with undulations in them they become ridiculously bouncy. Is that normal, or could my suspension actually be worn out enough to cause this?

Mine is exactly the same, since the car was new, comfort mode is often too bouncy depending on the road. I don't think you have a suspension problem.

Yeah, here in Jacksonville, the main road to the beach has a bridge that is incredibly bouncy. My wife always complains that my car is too bouncy when in comfort mode going over that bridge, so when I'm cruising in comfort mode, before I hit the bouncy spot, I switch to sport mode. That said, I wouldn't change a thing about the comfort mode because it's very helpful when going over speed waves and speed bumps. I have to go over 8 speed waves/bumps each way in and out of my office complex. The caveat to that is I get to park in a garage protecting the car from the elements (including but not limited to reclaimed sprinkler water, which here in FL, is just as good as having someone key your car).

I had similar vibrations and bounce. When I went in for my last oil change and tire rotation, it turned out my rear tires were scalloped badly. I was told it's due to the stock camber of the rear wheels. They say that it will likely happen with any tires, but is more common with cheaper tires (I bought mine with some off brand Capitol a/s tires on it). I'm getting new shoes for the car on Monday, I'll be sure to compare the difference after and watch for scalloping on the new tires (Michelin pilot sport as +).

I am in FL also and can back you up on that sprinkler water haha. I also have 9 speed bumps coming out of my place but I always found the throttle in comfort mode to be annoying to modulate after getting used to sport and R mode

Ugh to Florida's reclaimed sprinkler water. Had to run up to the VA clinic this morning and right as I was exiting my car, the sprinkler right next to the car turned on hosing my entire driver's side. I immediately moved to the other end of the lot where there was no sprinkling. Odd that it came on mid morning and not at night/early morning.

As for the topic, my comfort mode is also bouncy, especially on the highway going over bridge to road transitions.

lmao the JTB intracoastal going towards the beach is terrible in most cars. Even SUVs.

you mean under dampened? pretty sure over dampened is the opposite of bouncy. you cant have over dampening with a blown shock lol.

imo its fine in comfort. increased body movement is expected when decreasing the amount of dampening.
