I covered up the red stripe. I think it looks much better.

And by I I mean, my GF @Misa did it because she's apparently a fucking GOD at doing detail work. Literally her first time doing anything like this and she just nailed it on the first try. It genuinely looks OEM.

TL;DR - Spoon Rigid Collar and Cusco Braces are dope (definitely recommended to be installed together), PPF is a pain to do but worth it because the money you save you can invest in Spoon Rigid Collar and Cusco Braces, and remember to mark your beam pattern before installing the Morimoto Jewel headlights. Also, theretorfitsource.com sucks because they sent me the wrong connector for the XB LED Fog Light install.

I've been waiting to install a few parts before posting here. Just got some pretty cool upgrades done on the CTR and I am super stoked to share with the fk8 fam! Shortly after purchasing the champ white CTR in April I had a local shop install the Suntek's Ceramic Tint (30% front/20% rear), DIY Suntek Ultra PPF installed a full front, partial hood, a-pillars and partial roof, with rockers and rear fender cover; all provided from servoppf.com. Not perfect but I saved myself $1500 to invest in car modifications (Cusco braces and Spoon rigid collars). After the ppf install I Gtechniq CSL ceramic coated the whole car, followed by 2x coats of EXO v4 and also applied Halo to the PPF sections of the car. Car looked amazing and definitely had that bling bling factor. Next I coated the interior according to a @ctrmofo's recommendation in order to protect from any potential staining. Today with the odometer at ~1030 miles, I had a friend (with a mint 98' ITR with a few miles short of 10K) help me install the Spoon rigid collars (Front & Rear) as well as the Cusco front, mid and rear brace + the rear engine mount. Also installed the XB Jewel LED Headlights along with the Top Tier Auto's smoked sidemarkers; a long day but extremely productive day for the FK8. Unfortunately we were unable to install the Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights because "The Retrofit Source" sent me the wrong fog assembly connector to match with the oem connector... But that shouldn't be too difficult a fix once I have the correct connector for the install since the fog panel is easily detached from the bumper. Overall, I am super excited about the upgrades and can't wait to put more miles on the car in order to appreciate the new upgrades more.

Initial impressions, car feels much more rigid, more stable around turns and a planted feel when driving. It doesn't change the characteristics of the car, only enhances the feel of it. Highly recommend installing the Spoon Rigid Collars and Cusco Braces together since you are using some of the same bolts when installing one or the other. Headlights look amazing but I forgot to mark the beam height so I will need to adjust them accordingly (beam is extremely low and will need to be raised substantially). Suntek Ultra PPF is amazing and it is extremely hard to tell that it is even installed on the car from most angles. Suntek Ultra Ceramic Tint is super clear and the shade it provides is quality. The ceramic coat does a great job keeping the car clean but it is quite a bit troublesome having to be conscious of sprinkler water and the potential cause of water spots from it. Its made me purchase quite a few more car washing products to ensure that I am able to properly maintain the ceramic coating. The Cusco rear engine mount is definitely noticeable upon engine startup as it vibrates the dash slightly upon engine start and a little more NVH as you drive through shifts but it's definitely not as bad as some posts makes it out to be. It is very manageable for daily driving and adds that race car factor to an otherwise civilized commute.

the spoon rigid collar is definitely on my list. Makes a big difference on the S2000 and i assume it'd be the same for the FK8.

I would like to hear about your experience with the morimoto headlamps after you adjust them. I want to know if they fix that quality issue they had of broken adjusters.

All these guys are local friends of mine. Here you go with pics I took of his car on Saturday’s love jailbreaking we co-hosted with Hondata here in Columbus, OH.

I just recently adjusted the beam pattern up quite a bit from where it came in as and I had no problems doing so. Didn’t know this was a known problem but I’m glad I didn’t run into any issues.

I’m currently in the process of installing the XB LED Fog Lights so once I get those in and buttoned up, I’ll take some pictures of the beam pattern to share with the group. It looks like I will need to purchase the factory Honda plug and play harness needed to run the JDM Yellow LED fogs. It will be a couple weeks since I found it on Amazon for half the price but it’s shipping directly from Japan.

Well I didn't do anything to my CTR today but I did do something for it . I just received my new EZ lift .After years of using two floor jacks and multiple wood blocks to get my tube chassis Mustang drag car on jack stands, I decided to go a different route with the CTR. Big thanks to Tom (Fatherpain) for sending me a ton of pics and information on the EZ Lift. Very impressed with the build quality. Boytcho was great doing business with. Really like it being a mechanical lift. Goes up quick and easy. Now my new problem is to not spend a fortune on new parts for the Type R.

This is an awesome lift and i have one too.
it has cool accessories such as supporting wheels set that allows you to push the lifted car around!
And unlike Quicklifts, you get the access from the side as well.

And, Boychot, the owner is a very awesome man!!

full installation and how to plus review of sirimoto flex fuel kit with hidden "integrated" gauge display in the engine bay with a waterproof box. even more torque now on top of the recent prl "triple threat" setup (hi volume intake, titanium turbo inlet, and charge pipes)...

dipped the scoop. not too crazy with how it came out. todays extreme heat already has it crumbling. I just need to order a black one from Honda

(that's not a blemish from me painting it. that circle is just early morning condensation..)
