Android Auto Just Stopped

i apologize for the potential repeat thread. My wife's phone (pixel 2) stopped working with AA out of nowhere with her 2017 CIvic EX. I have tried the following with no success:

Reinstall AA on the phone
Reboot the head unit
Tried multiple cables.

The peculiar thing is that my phone (pixel 2) connects immediately. Both phones connect to my 2017 VW GTI immediately. The only issue is with her phone to the civic. If anyone has any insights, I would greatly appreciate it.

Did this happen after the AA app on the phone was updated to the new interface?

I just recently updated AA and the version in Settings | Apps | Android Auto is 4.5.592854.

Check if the phone that still works has an older version. Just a guess, but if so, the new version may be incompatible with your phone.

It happended this saturday. My phone (that works) has the same AA version you posted above. My wife's phone (not working) is 4.6.593334.

It worked on the way to my son's gymnastics class, when she plugged in to come home, the infotainment display said something (she does not remember the exact wording) along the lines of "android auto has been disabled"

Having asked my wife exactly what happened, she mentioned the disabled comment I mentioned above. This got me thinking, and I actually solved the problem with the help of the video below. Settings, Smartphone, Android Auto, Enable.

Something similar happened with my Moto z3 and '17 Civic Si.

What fixed it was going into the settings of the headunit and deleting the problematic phone from the HU's AA profile. That way it's prompt the phone as if it was new. i.e. "Would you like to connect to Android Auto?".

Lmk if this isn't clear, currently writing from memory while on the duece. Lol.

My Andoid Auto just stopped working few days ago. I have a 2018 Civic Hatchback

I have a Huawai P30 Pro and it was working A1 since many months.

Here's what I did / try :
Change cable for the one in my Girlfriend 2019's SI that is working : No luck
Tested Samsung S7 from the job : WORK
Tested Samsung S8 of my GF : WORK
HeadUnit : Reset from factory : Not Working
Reinstalled AA on my Huawai : Not working
Tested my phone in the 2019 Civic SI of my girlfriend, with MY and her cable : Work

So clearly, there's something not working between my phone and the headunit. Is it possible that my HeadUnit version's not compatible with the latest Android Auto version or the latest Huawai software ? I do not remember having an software update on my Huawai lately to be honest.

If the problem is the software in my headunit, is there a way to update it without visiting the dealer ? I saw many tread on this forum, but there's no link to download software or whatever (the only one that has a link is from 2018...)
