I've got some high quality black gloss vinyl laying around and was thinking of wrapping my stock rear diffuser with it. Might look good with the other gloss black trim I have.

Will the vinyl stick decently to the diffuser's plastic or is it a waste to even try to wrap it?

I have seen people wrap the gloss black rear lip on the hatchbacks in carbon vinyl. I did my gloss side skirts in CF also at one point.

Hard to imagine it wouldn't work in your case.

I'm no expert, but check this link out. This was helpful when I decided to wrap some items. I think this guy is the best at it and he has a couple tutorials. Wrapping is harder than you think. Take your time and have plenty of light. A heat gun is helpful. Post some before and after pics. Goodluck!

a heat gun and infrared thermometer are essential, not useful, once the film is applied, where there are curves the surface must be brought to 100 degrees Celsius to stabilize the material, this guarantees dimensional stability
