This car has a lot of sharp edges and Honda fitment isn't the best so there are a lot of areas that may be prone to paint damage.

I have the same issue. It's a common issue. But I'm thinking it can also have happened when i go up dips and drag the lip and the bumper flexed slightly and contacted the headlamps idk.
same issues happens with the corners of the tail lamp area.

Removed taillight to install leds. The paint chipped under the taillight. Used touch up paint. You can’t really see it...so doubt Honda would warranty something like that.

Time and Time again with the paint problems on our... Civic. OP, you aren't alone. Many people reporting paint issues around or at edges. Me included. Sorry about it :/
