Wrap a thin rope around the inside and floss it?
That's difficult with the caliper in the way, and you'd likely still have to either pop the wheel off, or lift the car to get in there.

Honestly I just see myself perusing the tool section of Home Depot to see if I can find some type of hardy plier/tweezer tool that would be able to fit in the space available, and pull the rock out. Pulling it out will allow me to not do any twisting/pushing actions that could cause me to bump into a spoke with the tool. Just hoping someone else already has identified a tool that would work like this. :dunno:

FWIW - My CTR stared with the break squeaking for the first 3000 miles. Then then screeching/grinding started and lasted until about mile 4500. The screeching/grinding sounded a bit like rocks in a metal bucket. I would come and go at random times. I could get it to stop if I slammed on the breaks or engaged them just after accelerating. I think it was the aluminum break shield. Eventually it stopped. I asked a service manager about it at my first 5000 oil change - he said "it just break/wheel parts settling in.

I don’t have a type r. I have a 2.0 sport and have owned over 8/9 Honda/Acura’s in a nearly 20 year period. This is the 1st time the rock in brake/rotor area has happened to me. The thing is, I brought this shit onto myself, I cleaned the inner barrel of the wheel and I guess the rock was on the towel and when I went to like wipe around the inner barrel, one of those small bastard rocks was loose and fell in between. I hadn’t driven my car all weekend besides moving it to a different parking spot.

If it squeeks while braking to a stop is because of high performance brembo brakes(typical). Read somewhere even porsche with brembo squeeks. I just tell people, "its the high performance brembo brakes, when the rotors/pads arent at a certain temperature, they can squeak"

If rattling, clanking, squealing, intermitten even while on reverse then its stupids rocks on the metal brake shield.

How do you people not know this, probably dont live in a area that have loose gravel/rocks.

Take the shield off if its such hassle? Doesnt serve much purpose anyway. It's obviously not keeping rocks out.

Brand new 2019, with the noise in reverse. This must be the problem. I'll call the dealer. Very helpful. Those stock tires pick up rocks like fly paper. I bet I woke the neighbors backing out of my garage this morning. Terrible sound!
