A +3600lb Curb Weight for the Singer 2.0 or 3000lb Civic? There's your extra power right there. If you are looking into "Future" modification, then look into WHO is supporting that platform as of this time. Better to find out now, than find out down the road.
A Premium Model w/wo AWD is $40-42K MSRP - for 255hp. Very Very overpriced...

I know. That's a concern of mine too. Hondas are proven and reliable. I've had 2 Civics and 2 Accords and nothing went wrong with any of them - just basic maintenance. If they made an Accord in a hatch or sport back, that's what i would get.
Also, just some friendly forum usage advice... When you "Reply" to a post you'll see "[/QUOTE]" or something similar, without the quotation marks... You can just type after that closing (/QUOTE) rather than quoting then starting a new post. That makes it all easier to track and keep up with.

Also again, there are a handful of posts about Civic drivers and their age. Some guys in here are in their mid-70s I think, and driving Type R's or Si's...

Hi all! The Stinger - fuggedaboddit !! I bought a new 2019 Civic Sport Touring Hatch this past week. Great car, although I've been overwhelmed with all of the tech stuff. I did like the Stinger, but it would've been around 10 grand more, average gas mileage, and I trust the Honda brand over Kia. I will miss my 06 Accord V6 when it finally sells. It was a great car - my favorite of all the cars I've owned. It had a great sound system. I was really surprised that the premium sound system on my new Civic sounds pretty awful. With 540 watts and 12 speakers, I was expecting it to sound better than my Accord system (120 watts and 6 speakers). Not even close. But, the car is nice. Thanks for all of the ideas and suggestions here, everyone !!

Si Vs Stinger 2.0T(bottom picture)
As you can see its an even fight. Stinger is faster to 60, Si is faster to 100 and 5-60. Stinger is faster at merging speeds though. But as you can see both are similar to the quarter mile and almost identical trap speed. Suffice to say, a tuned Si would smoke the 2.0T Stinger. A tuned regular 1.5T should win as well.

It's a real bummer the Touring stereo system is just an upgraded Honda sound system. Most other car brands partner up with an actual speaker company to get that quality you're looking for. I test drove some Mazda's when I was shopping and their Bose sound system in the Mazda 3 was soooo much better than the one in the Honda Sport Touring.

The Honda still won of course, but yeah, that sound system is a bit of a letdown.

Enjoy the rest of the ride though, it's a great car.

From what I heard, the audio was done by Pioneer. The sound really sucks in this car, across all trims.... =[ Not gonna lie, glad I have a basic EX model without an amp or center speaker. It allows me to do an audio project without built in amp problems.
