Wanting to get my windows done ASAP. Barely survived this Oklahoma summer without tint, lol.

But I can’t decide what % to do.

5% looks really good durning the day. But I’ve read/heard about people having to roll down their windows to see at night in poorly light areas. That’s unacceptable to me, especially during the winter, I do probaly 50% of my driving in the middle of the night in somewhat rural area so not many ambient light sources.

Is it really that bad?

20% looks ok durning the day (it’s what my wife has), not quite the privacy 5% grants, but it’s not bad at all at night.

35% and 50% would honestly only be for the windshield in my case. I wouldn’t even bother doing the side windows that light.

Somewhere between 28% and 30% in order to conform to South Carolina State Law. From the outside it seems too dark for me, sometimes.

Once I'm inside, it's great.

I"m pretty sure I'll go with 35 on the front and 20 in the back.

I have 35% in the front and 20% in the back. Rear window/windshield is also 35%. I wish I would've gone 20% all around so or darker but I don't want a ticket lol

I have 5% in the rear 35% in the front and 70% crystalline on the windshield. If your main concern is the heat I would go with the crystalline tint it has an extremely high heat dissipation but I'm not sure how dark they make it. If you're concorned with privacy then 5% unless you're doing a lot of driving in reverse, in which case you have a backup camera to help guide you, I don't see much of an issue with the darker tint.

Florida limits tint to 28% on front door windows, so I had 30% Llumar Ceramic put on, all the way.
I prefer all my windows be tinted the same (aesthetic reasons).

Either 15 or 20% all around with 50 I think on the whole windshield. I can't remember the exact %s anymore.
Not too much but noticable. I did 28 or 30 on my 9th gen all around with nothing on the windshield, while I liked it I wanted to step it up a notch. I though 5% drew too much attention.

Just FYI, your poll doesn't go high enough. If you're concerned with heat, then a 90% crystalline 3M tint will block 34% of heat, and a 70% crystalline blocks about 50% of the heat both making the car cooler. This is because the tint blocks most of the heating infrared light that you can't see, but doesn't block as much light in the visible range.

A family member has 90% tint on the front two windows and 70% on all the rear windows and it makes a huge difference in heat and comfort without hurting night time visibility or looking anti-social.

I really like to see so I'm getting 90% all around.

There is also a reason why front windshield tint is illegal in most places. You really should have no tint on the front, but if you must, 90% 3M crystalline will cool you down.

Across various vehicles I've had 20% to 35%. IMO 35% is almost a waste of money if you can go a bit darker without legal trouble. I would not advise putting that on the windshield of course.

I have 5% on all rear windows and 30% in the front, which is technically illegal lol. But I like the completely blacked out look, and it really helps keeping everyone outside of the car from seeing in.

lots of semi's have no rear window at all, as do several pickup-trucks with caps on.
I see no reason why we can't go 5% on our rear window.

however, I do recall my old Monte Carlo (1986 SS) had trouble defrosting its back window if it was really cold out when the window was tinted

I have 15% all around. I also like the blacked out look. I like how you can’t really look inside just in case I decide to sleep in the car with a windshield visor up :p. It for sure saves your interior from the sun. I do have to roll my window down on some of dark roads out here.
