I was with gf to buy her a corolla, and some dude actually signed the papers before us...for a supra....for $90k....Why???

I mean sure its a v6 tt that looks like a nicer fr-s but thats GTR money...is that car REALLY worth it for almost 6 figures? you could literally get a 370z and twin turbocharge it and have enough money to still buy a daily driver.

HOW can a dealer sell that car at 90k. my dads 4 series convertible was literally half that and it was pretty fast with the mods. and ffs isnt a gtr 90k?! i was stunned.

screw toyota they tried to get us into a corolla lease that was fewer miles and cost more than my STI AND civic si combined. 500 a month with 1k down. like dude...what is going on there...

1. its an inline 6 single turbo and not a V6 twin turbo.
2. dealers can get as much as they'd like to. Car is worth as much as someone is willing to pay.
If you had an item in your possession that is worth $50 and someone wanted to pay $300 would you turn it down?
same thing happened with the CTR. Some dude paid like 65k for it.
3. is the car worth it? definitely not worth 100k but hey more power to them if they want to blow money.

Doesn't surprise me, when I purchased my 16' Civic nearly a month ago. The Toyota dealer I got my car at, the sales rep mentioned a Supra was sold for roughly $100K, the markup on these cars a super ridiculous. But people are still willing to buy it, also the Supra I was looking at the show floor, if I can remember had a $20-30K mark up

For the dealer, it is their goal to get the highest profit. Free Market and Capitalism. If buyer are willing to pay the price, you just need to finish your end of the transaction

For the buyer, we have alot of rich people in this country. That 90k could be just some pocket change lying around.

Granted, I wont be getting a supra if Im the buyer with $90K
