Anyone have splitters/lip installed that is good quality and not crazy expensive? Just looking for a simple black color to go with my red 2017 LX Hatch. Also do you guys do these installs yourself or should I always go through a shop? Drop pics/links if you can and thanks in advance!

Damn you built a better type R so install was easy enough?

I would not say better than a R

You have to take off the front bumper for the splitter. The diffuser did not have pre drilled holes. Sides look like they just tap screw on and again, no pre drilled holes. Damn flaps still aren’t in.

Definitely recommend installing with two people to help hold things in place while drilling etc.

I would assume the side skirts from the Sport/Sport Touring hatch would fit the LX hatch. It's also a two peice design, and looking at the parts diagram, it's sold as a one piece. I personally think that looks best, it's sporty yet subtle, and not exaggerated. I just looked at an oem honda parts store, these skirts go for $257 painted.

The fin and the skirt come in two pieces yes.

I would take the DIY route with 3/16" abs sheets if you want that custom build. But that's my method.

I assume it’s sold together and not separately? Cause the fin piece doesn’t appear on the parts diagram nor does it have a part #.

My apologies bro I skimmed your reply and assumed you were talking about the DFS pieces.

I will check the oem skirts today but would assume you can get them individually. Would only make sense in case you damaged only one piece to not have to buy the entire kit.

I'm sure I'll be changing mine out one day, but for now, I'm going with factory splitters and spoiler with my purchase.

Another nice DIY solution I came across recently was putting fiberglass on foam. Light and strong. Check it out.

Makes me want to make something.
