Yea but thats another $200+. He wanted it solved w a 20$ dangle.

Looks like he will be mounting the flashpro like you told him to afterall.

Cuz even if he gets the voltage from ect2 to inside the car, he still needs software/code to convert it into e%. There is no gauge that just uses voltage to display e%.

In siri kit the gauge IS the module i believe. ECA is the sensor. Sensor just sends hz to the module, ktuner in prl/innovate gauge in siri kit.

Shoulda bought sirimoto kit.

I knew someone was going to say this...

What can I say...I liked the build quality and look of the PRL unit better. I knew from the get-go that the Hondata app may be my only option to read ethanol %, but I still had to ask "what if" rather than keep quiet. I mean, that's the whole point of modding, right? To question what is and is not possible?

Yes, of course. I wasnt trying to be mean, just factual.

I agree, prl seems better built.

This is my build for Subaru. Truly PnP. No display or gauge cuz i display through my AccessPort (flashpro equivalent). ;)

I did have same concerns as you cuz its a 600$ unit and i live in Az where my dash and inside car gets to MEASURED 165F.

I think it's still possible with an ethanol gauge. Look at the Youtube video on how sirimoto connects the gauge and also ask PRL to see if it's possible.

It definitely is. But 200$.

And i am not sure if he would need to connect it to the eca or ect2. Question for innovate or look at install instructions.

I suspect it will be connected to the eca/sensor and not ect2. But just a guess based on the gauge being the module itself. Then i think the gauge has an output for e% voltage to be sent to ect2.
