I have a 2016 honda civic ex sedan which can fold down its back seat. This weekend I need to buy a bunch of fresh food and transport for more than two hours. I don't have a cooler yet and temperature is pretty hot. Obviously putting the in the trunk is dangerous.
So instead of getting a cooler, I figure for this time, I can just unfold the backseat, so that the AC can cool the trunk for the two hour transportation.
Does that make sense? any issues?

if I get a small cooler, it can't hold much stuff; big one can fit in the trunk.

Cardboard box, bags of ice, blankets. Ghetto yet functional.

The only things worth keeping cold for a two hour drive are beer and body organs.

Funny jokes aside, I have to imagine putting the seats down with the A/C blasting will certainly keep the trunk cooler than with the seats up. But whether or not it will be enough to keep your groceries fresh is anyone's guess.

You can get styrofoam coolers for about $5. I have some in the garage. You could fit three in the back seats and another three in a hatchback

Dumbest thread ever... if you can afford the gas to drive for over two hours (or at all) then you can afford to buy a new/used or styrofoam cooler.
