Just installed forge full recirc bov. Came with 3 springs choices, I went with yellow 15-23 psi. Should match my tsp stg 1 tune.

Install was cake. Reused stock vacuum hose. The nipple can be clocked to match oem location.

Forge part # fmdvrmr FYI.

friggen TERRIBLE Idea. You bought the TSP tune yet the maker of the TSP flat out says DO NOT CHANGE THE FACTORY BPV for any reason.

This is full recirc. This does not vent to atmosphere
read Dereks comment in the picture. Doesnt matter if its recirc or not. changing the valve is dumb. The spring rate will not be like stock at all.

I seen it. Thanks. If I see overboost or it doesn't vent properly I'll switch it back. Not chasing sound. I've had the diaphragm leak on my Saab with same oem valve so trying to prevent that from happening.

Your SAAB uses the same oem BPV as our Hondas? How old was the part when it began leaking on the SAAB? Which year and model SAAB? Stock boost pressure?

We had similar impressions in the Mazda community. Aftermarket generally caused more headaches than it was worth, unless we confirmed we were running a PSI beyond the threshold of the OEM BPV. And even in that case, we had to consider performance variations between OEM and aftermarket (aftermarket ones tend to be less responsive due to higher frictional properties).

Good read:

Hmmm lets weigh the risks.........chase noise......causes issues with tune......overboost happens and wastes motor...........icing on the cake its not even a part designed for the car........Im sure you've reverse engineered it from the saab and its "the exact same".......

I will never understand this.

If it causes a problem youll take it off......before or after a windowed block from a split second or two at 30+ psi?

WHOOPS.

Hondas fault.

there isn't 1 single post on this site or facebook page about a failed stock bpv. Vit ran his car over 30 psi hard and not an issue. So many of us are running 25+ psi on stock valve no leaks nothing.

Just drove to work. Vents off at any positive boost. Sounds the same as the stock valve. No chatter just solid vents. Vented at 3 psi all the way up to 18. No overboosting.

So its a pointless risk to take. Are you familiar with compressor surge lines? Flow choke limits? Do you know when this happens and hondas programming strategy to make your turbo last as long as possible? Do you know what kind of 'nth degree of spring weight difference may affect all this? Whats happening inside the charge piping if the throttle blade closes before the bpv reacts etc.

What your being told is this isnt rocket science, but it is damn near rocket science. You should trust the info provided and just put the stock bpv back in place.
