Hey Guys,

Thought i should post this in the lighting/exterior board as well. it has been about 10 months to the date when I purchased my aftermarket Cougar LED headlights and they have been through snow, rain and everything up here in the northeast. Today, after it rained, I get in my car and notice how my left headlight is out so when I get back home I just quickly put one halogen bulb that came with the vehicle on but it wouldn't turn on. I have attached a video to show how I had it connected. HELP.

How can I test it? Just get a new fuse? And should I avoid LEDā€™s so this doesnā€™t happen again?
Test continuity of the fuse with a multimeter, or sometimes you can visually see the metal burnt on the inside. Your car should have came with a few extra small fuses on the inside of the fuse cover! I donā€™t know too much about those aftermarket headlights or the LED bulbs that came with them so it could just be a quality issue with the brand. If you stick another fuse in and it blows again you could have a short somewhere/faulty wiring, or a bad load resistor for the LEDā€™s.

Pull it out and see if metal strip in middle is broken, Iā€™d watch a YouTube video if you donā€™t know what Iā€™m talking about.
LEDs arenā€™t usually a problem maybe you just got a faulty one. If fuse blows again replace that led with another one or switch to hid

Nothing looks broken in the fuse box. Anything I should pull out and replace with the ones I have here?

you need to REMOVE the headlight fuse to see if its blown

however, if your OTHER headlight is still working, then the fuse is fine

Looking at the diagram, there are 4 fuses for the headlights. Check the one for the headlight that is out.

Fuse number 26 left headlight low beam is 10 A fuse. Added original picture with markup for help. Look to see if fuse is burnt in middle. If it is, replace this with the new 10A fuse on the inside of the cover and see what happens. If it isnā€™t burnt, you have faulty wiring.

Thank you so much for your help! Itā€™s my first time messing with anything electrical like this besides just my headlights

Here is a pic of what the fuses look like. They all look good so it might just be faulty wiring.

Looks like you pulled the wrong fuse then.
Which side of the headlight is dead -- left as if you are standing in front of the car, or left when you are sitting INSIDE your car?

If you pulled #26, and both headlights are out, then put #26 back in, and pull #27.
The fuse cover has extra 5A / 10A / 15A / 20A.
You can swap one of the spare 10A with the supposedly blown 10A fuse, and see if you lights come back on.

Both headlights have been out since this morning. Its not that they got blown out right now lol my bad if thats confusing. The original headlight that was out was the left one when you are INSIDE the car.
