This car and my luck... broken in without alarm going off?

I was afraid of this hence the reason why I got myself a faraday sleeve back then. It is not expensive but I was paranoid enough to test it by putting the key fob in it and trying to open the car while still carrying the sleeve/key :)

Unfortunate incidents like these, sorry to hear you were victimized. This is a reminder for me to not keep valuables in the car. I keep my work uniform and equipment in the trunk, I'll have to start bringing that inside the house with me.
Several of our friends in law enforcement suggest drivers keep a small portable "car bag"... something that has your registration, wheel lock key, garage remote etc. LEAVE NOTHING in your car or trunk of any value or identification. We've done this for years...each one of our cars has a separate pouch for all the above mentioned items. Its really not that inconvenient. I despise car thieves and see nothing wrong in doing whatever is required to prevent or punish those who screw around with a persons car.
