fwiw.. when I bought my Si I loved the seats. Good bolstering. Not to tight etc. After 30K miles.. I hate them. I thought they would break down a bit but they haven't. My but gets numb after about an hour. My thighs also feel like they get no support from the bottom. I'm somewhat disappointed. Back support/shoulder support is great though.

I’m probably the only one to say this, but. I prefer the CTR seats. I sit in my Si and the outside of my thighs hurt in less than 30 minutes. I spent 11 hours in the R at Wake the Dragon and had no issues.

Get rear ended and the whiplash which results will teach you to keep your head back. If you naturally lean forward, adjust your seat back to a more upright position. Your back muscles and posture will benefit.
Hey I was looking to buy CTR seats. They seem to offer more thigh support and good back support. My base Civic seats are firm and not supportive of comfort. I wanted to confirm that your CTR seats are comfortable on long drives? I found a pair used for 900$ and am almost ready to pull the trigger.

The R seats are defo not comfortable for long drives but that ca be due to the R suspension too. If you're putting them in a regular civic, might be better.

But I start getting sore after an hour or so.

So to confirm, it is possible to buy/install Si or Type R seats for a different trim? ie. Si seats in hatchback sport or Type R seats in an Si or Sport? Assume the seat mounts are the same. The base sport wouldn't have wiring for heated seats, but otherwise? Is there an OEM site that sells them? Thanks!

One of my homies is literally 6'5 and drives a Si coupe, no complaints on his end and he loves the car. Daily drives it.

Wow thats amazing because I sat in a EX Coupe and found my head hitting the roof. It just goes to prove that we are all different and Honda makes a 100 different Civics!

A CivicX forum member said that the manual seats can basically be swapped into another manual seat vehicle and in his words plug & play compatible for airbag. I have not confirmed yet but I am hoping the airbags all have same plugs and will read the same resistance in the circuit. I don't know about sedan vs hatch mounting points but I would hope Honda made that identical.

Im 6'1" 225lbs muscular build and I have zero problems with my Si seats. I spend 6-12 hours a day in it too! Only thing that some might not like is if you have a wide upper back, the seat squeezes your lats a little bit.

Hahahah I got a good laugh with this. He reclines his seat a bit his legs are super long, maybe it's just comfortable enough for him :dunno:
