Just root your device using hondahack and install a offline navigation app on there.
I have done that, and I don't want that. So is it possible or no to install the factory software from a higher grade?

Trust me, the last thing you want on your SI, is the outdated, Honda "Garmin" GPS software. Far better to use Google Map or other similar app on your phone and access it by Android Auto on your Honda head unit screen.

The Honda/Garmin software is now so PRIMITIVE and limited, compared with current Nav systems, and most APP Nav software that can run on your phone via Android Auto, have the ability to download Maps, so you can use then (once you have downloaded the appropriate maps) without a Cell connection (If you travel outside of reliable cell phone coverage)

You are also better off running say Google Map on your phone, which typically has a far faster processor than the Honda head unit, even if you are Honda hacked, and "Could" install Google Map direct on the head unit, (where it will run slowly on the slow Honda Head unit).

Now r, IF you are Honda hacked, running a decent MP3 player on the head unit, with a decent Equalizer (ie Poweramp etc), will give you far better sound, than running anything from your phone over low bandwidth Bluetooth.

I never could understand why peeps would want to pay "extra" for the built in stuff when you already have it on your phone.:google:
