I keep a TIre pressure gauge in the glove box, various cords and headphones in the center console, and jumper cables in the wheel bay in the trunk!

Serious question- why did they not add any security to the glove box? I’d love to leave one of my 9mm in there, but there’s now where secure! If I had a truck I’d get one of the dash holsters, but I feel in the civic it is too small to put one on. When I first purchased my civic I was baffled by the lack of a lock on the glove box and lack of a true “center console”
Also I keep a tomahawk under the seat just Incase

I haven't really looked but I don't recall seeing a lock on a glovebox in like a thousand years... You could probably get a lockable box and hard plumb it into the glovebox?

Also, not to be your mom or anything, but do you tell cops about a tomahawk under your seat if you get pulled over? I'd suggest doing so if not. They usually don't like finding weapons on their own.

I used to keep it in between my seat and the center console so I could just pull it out in my old car, here I keep it under, and if they ask I tell them. It’s not in a spot I could reach unless I got out and went into the back seat

20 years ago I worked with a guy who got caught by police with a sawed-off shotgun in his trunk. He did two years in prison for a class X felony. This guy was so stupid that when I asked him why he had a sawed-off shotgun in his car he said " I was carrying it".

I'd beware of if the cops could touch it without realizing... I know they typically wear gloves if they are searching through a car but it'd be terrible to slice one up.

Gotta love victimless crimes.

How do they lock it when you have keyless entry? Guess you could add it to the key, but Honda's not gonna do that for a Civic.

We have Constitutional carry ( no permission slip from .gov to carry) , no magazine restrictions, no ownership restrictions, little places off limits to carry restrictions, no waiting periods or ammo restrictions. I have my first suppressor in purgatory right now. Basically, it’s about as free as can be in regards to firearm law.
And you have a law that allows carry in school zones, I believe. That's why you don't have school shootings.

There’s a physical key built into the key fob, so it makes since to have a lock on the glove box

That is actually a grey area. The state has no laws that don’t allow that. However, the feds state no unless you have a permit that is issued by police or such that a LEO did a background check. Now that Con Carry is law of the land in NH, it’s even more gray. Screw it, I carry everywhere but work.

Thanks, didn't know that detail about the federal law, since my state (Mass) has its own ban, with no exception for licensed carriers.
