In other words, stock height

I think the stock suspension is great!
Stock suspension is great until you're carrying some speed and the car starts to get floaty on you, and as you can see from the picture above even with my stiffer H&R springs the dampers have a lot of roll. I have a lot of mechanical grip from my wheel and tire setup so I can carry decent speed, but can do even better with coilovers :)

Well, this is happening  K-Tuned K1 Street Coilovers specifically for the Si! http://bit.ly/K1StreetCivicXSi

I will have an ADS Light for now while K-Tuned is working on the canceler. Good news is that the throttle response and steering response will be retained without the canceler, but eventually when they release the module I will purchase it to eliminate the code/light.

The Si dampers are great on street, but are a bit too floaty at high speed or on track. The ride height once installed is TBD, there are plenty threads to make this a jacked up off-road vehicle or a stance boi car - neither for me, I'm going for what will give me plenty clearance for no rub behind the side marker on dips/bumps, and no fender rub at the top of the tire on aggressive turn-in. Camber plates at the Front will help me dial in some extra negative camber for better clearance, and less tire roll.

I believe I am the first Si owner to review these online for everyone. More item pictures, install pictures, alignment specs, road and track review to come :)

Got my hands on this beauty! Real Carbon - Leather  Will have a few for resale, $550 USD Shipped Con-US. Exact great shape as my previous Hydrocarbon-Leather, and current All-Leather but this time real carbon fiber!

Going to be installing this on my Si tomorrow along with the coilovers!!

K-tuned K1 Street Coilovers are in! As per my tech friend the build quality is excellent, install was easy as my suspension components were free of any rust/corrosion, and the adjustability is miles ahead of stock dampers.

I haven't gotten much seat time because we finished at 3:30 AM. The ADS Light is on, but I'm not too bothered. Sport Mode's other features are still active. Went from -0.7 Camber Front to 1.5, Toe I believe was set to 0. Dialed in -2 at the rear. 20 Clicks Front, 18 Clicks Rear for dampening.

Fresh impressions are that the car is very eager to change lanes, and lesser effort is required. This is likely a combination of more camber, less body roll, and perhaps my lighter Carbon Fiber Steering wheel is also giving me a feeling of more dartiness. Too early to review how comfortable they are for DD, but the first ride home was decent - no bouncing around by being too stiff, and not as wallowy as stock dampers.

Also did an Oil Change, and managed to snag up the Goodridge SS Brake Lines + Mercedes AMG Dot4 Fluid. Terrific stopping power, brake pedal feels great!

Pre-ordered a new product by Whiteline Suspension, their Anti Lift Kit. Description: Whiteline Anti Lift Kits are primarily designed to improve traction and cornering grip under power. By increasing static caster and improving front end geometry the new alloy mounts coupled with low compliance synthetic elastomer bushings serve to dramatically sharpen initial turn-in response and reduce understeer.

I will say that I'm not in too much in the know about how dramatic of an affect there will be, but the Subaru and VW folks seem to think it's a worthwhile upgrade. There will be added NVH, the extent of which I do not know yet but let's see. Also ordered their 22mm rear sway bar, which judging from my parts list one would've assume I should've jumped on a long time ago LOL! 2018+ Accord End Links will be paired with the RSB.

Picture from their website, it's essentially a mount + bushing for the front control arm:

Somewhat of a hot lap at my local road course, Toronto Motorsports Park:drive:Still a newbie to Tracking so I am able to post high 1:20's; low 1:20's are very possible in the hands of a more experienced driver with the current setup of the car. I've yet to install the Whiteline RSB, and Anti Lift Kit.

After 3 laps I would see the Coolant temps hovering around 220f, so I would cool it down. I ended up trading my stock grille for a Pro Civic High Flow grille after this event, and will get some pictures up on this thread this weekend with another lapping day follow at the end of the month that will prove whether or not the additional air flow to the radiator is helping. What blows is that the 10th Gen Civic doesn't have any way to tap into the Oil Pressure and Oil Temperatures so we can monitor those - I doubt that I am getting the oil hot enough with just 3 laps as Coolant heats up faster than Engine Oil. Wouldn't necessarily say an Oil Cooler is in my near future just yet as it's still a street car, on street tires, and I'm learning and not trying to break any records.

Added the High Flow Grille by Pro Civic. IMO this is the best grille available for the 10th Gen in terms of OEM+ looks. Fitment is 8.5/10, as two of the tabs in the at the top and center part of the grille above the H don't sit completely flush with the bumper. Minor issue, one has to be up close to see it. I did ask several people with the same grille and they reported the same.

Otherwise super happy and have noticed the Coolant temps steady at 179f, occasionally even going down to 174-176 while on the highway cruising. I know there's a big stink about the Cobra intake being the best one, BUT my Mishimoto SRI is 6-10f above ambient, which is consistent with what others with the Cobra have reported to me so I would like to say they're both equally effective... I wasn't looking at IAT's so closely before to say 100% that the Grille also lowered the temps there but numbers are numbers :dunno:

Whiteline 22mm RSB is in along with the Accord End Links! 18mm is the Si stock Si RSB for reference.

Initial driving thoughts are the rear feels more tighter and willing to rotate happily with the front end, rather than getting dragged by it. I'll be out on track again on the 29th to put it to the test :)

Standard Brembo pads weren't up to the task from the last track day, and were clearly unsafe for tomorrow's outing as well at the local circuit, TMP.

Huge plus to the Brembo setup has been excellent availability of all types of pads ranging from inexpensive street pads to full blown race pads! I got myself the StopTech 309.10010, which have pretty solid reviews online for Street + Light Track :)

Long overdue update, I went out to the last lapping event two weekends ago with the aforementioned upgrades, and the car performed extremely well! My first driving impressions on the street after the rear sway bar were already great as I felt that going from 18mm to 22mm really helped the rear of the car rotate eagerly, and not being dragged by the front. TMP is a really fun and safe track which I've been learning on this season, and some of you may know it as you've likely watched videos from the YouTube channel, Speed Academy.

Dave had a go in my car, and here's a clip of him doing several laps with me riding shotgun. It wasn't all out time attack style, I simply wanted to learn the lines from him, get his feedback on my current setup, and have good conversation :) Apologies it's not the best quality as I just extracted dashcam footage, and the beeping is from my dashcam as well which I've set a warning beep on for whenever I'm over 125kmh/77mph.

What's interesting is how he was able to point out that the Si's Helical LSD is somewhat stopping the car from putting the power down in highspeed corners, which you can especially hear going into Turn 1 after the long straight. Dave mentioned that a press car Si also did the same, but the Type R's Helical LSD, and/or front suspension setup being totally different doesn't have that issue. I'll be dialing in the car over the winter, and will likely work with Whiteline to dial in my front end with a couple of parts that may help the LSD do a better job. Here's a couple of pictures from the last outing :)

Hey man, love the detail in your thread - the car looks sick!

I'm very new to this car modding thing, so apologies for the dumb questions, but...

In your very early pics, it appears your spoiler is much lower than most SIs that I see, and your headlights have a really cool vertical design in them. Did both the spoiler and headlights come that way stock?
