I’ve never seen or heard of it before I just know it’s a V8.. him and I raced twice from a roll which he took the hit and from a dig. I put a good 2-3 cars on him. Very nice guy too.

Dinan is a tuning company for BMW. They make "stage kits". They're sort of the the go-to for BMW aftermarket.

I was out with the r a few weeks ago and I was taking the onramp to 75. The onramp had 2 lanes that merge into one. I was first on the right (outside lane) and a new 750i was on the left (inside lane). I had myself and 3 passengers and I'm not sure of the beamers occupancy as the windows were blacked out. I assumed the beamer was going to accelerate leisurely, so I planned to accelerate fairly spiritedly to pass. Light turns green and we both end up starting fairly aggressively. When each of us realized what the other was doing we both gave it the beans. I was slightly behind due to being on the outside and I stayed right there until merge. My front bumper was about even with his rear bumper. He wasnt pulling on me and I wasn't gaining on him. We were dead even in acceleration. Maybe I could have gained without passengers, maybe not. I was totally stock and I assume he was stock. Time for hondata!

Later, I looked up the specs to the beamer and I was happy. That 750 had north of 500hp and ~550lbft of torque. It's pretty quick for it's size and at 100k, it better be.

Also, full disclosure: I wasn't racing; just merely trying to pass. :)

He was probably feathering the throttle so the ass end would not come out. Those things are beasts.

The only time I was truly terrified in a car was a Dinan Tuned e90 m3. That car gets very squirrelly when you mash the peddle even from a roll.

aren't you the guy who posted a few weeks back about how your not going to "street race" anymore?
Technically he didn't "street Race". He was running an experiment to see if he could outrun a Dinan....right @JDMpo0kie ? It was all in the name of science

You are also modded and tuned. I'm still stock. Either way, that's a quick si
Even stock, I don't think a modded Si is a match for a CTR unless you are talking about Eman's 400 WHP Si (with a bunch of CTR parts btw)

I don't know. FBO tuned si's are putting down good power with less weight albeit not dramatically less. It would be a good race but I wouldn't be surprised if the r lost.
