3: Having to use the touchscreen to set the fan speed or toggle the AC. Specifically, since it's a touch screen, there's no physical feedback and I have to look down at the screen to see what I'm doing which means taking my eyes off the road. I have two knobs and buttons for climate control settings, why in the world did they design the AC controls to be used via touch screen?
If you have a 2019 Si there should be two physical buttons below the touch screen to control fan speed.

Oh dear lord, the electric parking brake. Oddly enough, what annoys me about it is not so much that it's electric or the button for it. What gets me is the noise it makes when you set or release it. If the windows are down, it's like fingernails on a chalk board and I feel conspicuous every time I set or release the parking brake.

The electric parking brake is one of the worst "innovations" of ALL TIME, in my opinion. The noise doesn't bug me in the least, but there's absolutely no reason for it to have an electronic controlled button instead of a manual button.

On the A/C, I have a '19 Si and I've literally never, not once used the touch screen for my A/C or climate control. The knobs and fan speed buttons below do everything... I think?

Nigh a week goes by that I don’t not fully depress my brake and think I turned it off only to start going and the car just lunges in place because the brake doesn’t disengage.

Hate hate hate the E-hand brake. It makes me want to punch my steering wheel or window in rage every time I get in my car...

Yup, fairly often for me too. Plus there are times I wish I could turn the brake OFF without having to start the damn car up. Annoying

Having traded in my RSX Type S.. I'm not totally impressed with the power-plant yet. The K20 was a heck of a motor. Maybe in time that will change. The car still has to break in.

Even on the '19 you still need to go into the touchscreen controls to change which vents you want the air to blow out of

There should be a simple handbrake for sure, much better functionality. Thankfully you can turn off the parking brake without starting the car. Press the 'start' button without depressing the clutch (to turn on the accessories only). When in that state you can release the parking brake.

Unless the battery is dead. Then you are SOL

1. the rounded, bubble fenders. the straight slanted downward fenders of previous civics made them look a lot better/more aggressive.

2. stock powerband. its not very linear. nor is it very powerful feeling. its still enough but just enough. any less hp and it would feel like a slug... not necessarily a hate but a dislike.

3. the thin paint. i see rust bubbling in my future.

4. the extremely light clutch/clutch pedal

5. the stock stereo system. the bass sucks. my 2004 rsx s had a much punchier oem subwoofer.

6. only 3 blinks for the 1 touch turn signals. hyundais let you choose between 3 5 or 7. if they dont let us have an option, they should have made it 5 blinks.

7. the front grill. not necessarily cause of its looks but the fact that if you take it off it ruins the tabs on the top part of it so the aftermarket grilles have a gap.

ill add more later if i can think of anything else.
THE 3 BLINKS. I felt that in my soul. Ive thought that so many times, but always forget to complain about it

Oh man good call, the AC is gar-BAGGGGE! Above 80 degrees it works its ass off for 20 mins to cool the cabin before you can turn it down a bit. Above 90 you need it on full blast constantly to keep the cabin from being way too hot.

My 11 year old tundra, on original refrigerant, is ICE cold within 2 minutes on the hottest days of the year. Come on Honda!

Otherwise I agree the car is a homerun considering the price.
Maybe its just an si issue but my 2017 Hatchback LX cools quickly and completely on one bar at 67° and I'm in Florida. Idk why it'd be different though

the only things I hate about my Civic SI, are the Chrome window frames and the fake vents, which are both somewhat easy to fix or replace. Other than that I love my Civic SI.

1. Engine noise and vibration, I know it's very common for 4 cylinder turbo, but the 5 cylinder engine in my Jetta is just much smoother and has much better engine sound than the si. And, stock si doesn't feel faster than the Jetta even though it is faster for sure

2. No spare tire, again, my Jetta has a full-size spare which saved my road trip once.

3. The head unit is way too slow, just can't believe Honda has been using it for so many years without upgrades.

4. Very soft and thin metal sheets.

5. Steering wheel feels numb, again, the steering wheel in my Jetta (not sure if it's the same for other older VW) is heavier than si in sport! and has more road feedback

6. Rev hang.

7. Stereo don't have any bass
My old back up car is a '08 Jetta S and love it. I got it brand new and have over 289k on it.

It has a lot of driver feedback on the steering and nice stock exhaust with that German Rumble.

The only thing I dislike was the cheap aftermarket rims I installed earlier this year. There is a slight vibration even with hub centric rings.

The SI is much quicker though, but the Jetta was much faster than my old '15 Hyundai Elantra Sport.

Love this car and it is my first Honda for the wife and I. The fabric on the center armrest does bug me. And I wish the SI had GPS from the factory in case my smart phone is damaged. It happened last year lol.

For the price, it is bang for the buck!
