Not Feeling the wheels too much, the upgraded front vents look a bit odd and the sedan front vents look even worse now.

I am jelous of the LED lights on the front though. I'm glad I got a 2019 now! :p
I'm jelly of the LED lights and sensing. I have to see the rims, front bumper and seats in person though. At first glance the rims and bumper look so so

2020 price only increases $700. Just throwing that out there.

I like the LEDs and the sensing. I don't love the wheels and all the extra red in the interior but it may look better in person. I was planning to buy my '17 when the lease runs out next fall but I may be tempted to grab a leftover 2020 or a new '21 just for the sensing and the new warranty.

Every single change is controversial.

I don't want the LED headlights because they perform worse than the halogen, especially once you put in better bulbs.

I don't want Honda sensing because I want traditional intermittent wipers and I don't want the additional driver assists. It's more complicated stuff to fail and makes windshield replacement more expensive.

I like the appearance of the wheels, but not on the car. They don't look good with the body lines of the civic.

I don't want the new fake vents. The honeycomb looks far better and I already cut matching holes in the driver's side for the cold air intake. I doubt it will be that easy with the new fake vents.

I sincerely doubt they have made any significant changes to the drivetrain, like putting in a different clutch.
They put a new clutch master cylinder and fixed 2nd gear quick shifts on the 8th generation a few years before the end of the generation.

Not much considering the addition of honda sensing
I just bought my 19 Si 2 weeks ago.. I would've liked the LEDs and Sensing. Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing the next generation. These changes aren't significant enough to trade in my 19 with 600 miles on it. But the salesman did tell me in 2021 a completely new and redesigned Civic will be released. Not sure if there's any truth to that.

probably more like 2022. give the refresh a 2 year run before a redesign. And I dont think it'll be a huge deal since they are now making the Accord and the Civic on the same platform, going to be the same underpinning with new body design.

That sounds more likely. I mean why would they bother with any of these changes on the gens last year?

I just bought my 19 SI coupe 4 weeks ago and change and I have no regrets with taking the 19 over the 20. After seeing addtl pictures, the only thing and dont care for is the addtl red in the seats (at least cloth wise, as I have seen one in leather on this forums that looks nice with the red), otherwise I could take either and be happy. I dont miss the sensing type options which I did have on my prior vehicle, even if they are nice to have. Overall I will be happy with my 19 until the next model most likely.

The Swindon plant that makes the hatches (including the Type R) has an announced closing day in 2020. 2022 will be the first model year for the 11th gen car at the latest unless they do a gap year without hatches, which is unlikely considering how well they're selling.
They said they were building up a supply of them before closing to fill the gap until they start making them in the US.

If the new wheels are lighter too, those changes may contribute to improved acceleration... or just compensate for the added weight coming from the sensing system
They're just slightly heavier than the current wheels.

Damn... Never thought I'd say im glad i have these fake vents because the new front vents just being flat (from what i can see in the photo) actually looks worse haha
Wheels look nicer with the smoked color tho! Also super Jealous of 2020's CTR style head lights! :nono:
Not smoked, matte black!

LED headlights and Sensing now. Hmm. I’m really curious what changes the CTR is gonna have. It would suck if it had HS because I kinda would like that.

How does adding engine sound to the audio system work? Just overrides your music or what? I'm new to hearing about this as a feature.

If someone has a 2020 Si and asked me to trade straight up for my 2017 I wouldn't do it. I'm not a fan of the LED headlights and the new corner baffles. Although Honda Sensing would be nice, I don't think it would be a game changer for me.

They needed to do a refresh and I get that, but I'm glad I got my 2017!
