Manual Sport Touring might have been tempting if it existed when I bought.
But it didn't, and I neeeeeded MT, so I guess I saved $$.
I would have enjoyed navigation, a decent stereo and a sunroof...not sure if I would have paid over $5k for them.

I'm not seeing any major changed from the 2017 sport touring I already drive. Other that the return of the volume knob.
I have a 6mt, I have a sunroof, apple CarPlay and android auto. I already have navigation too. I have the 542 watt 12 speaker stereo as well. So not really seeing anything here that would make me want to trade up yet.

NOT A BIG DEAL OR QUESTION, BUT I DO NOT LIKE THE RED COLOR EFFECT ON THE SCREEN, AND THE GAS GAUGE LIGHTS, DO YOU GUYS KNOW IF THE EX MODEL HAS THE BLUE COLOR EFFECT RATHER THAN THE RED!? THANKS

Yes - the LX, EX, and EX-L have blue gauges instead of red.

For 2019, Honda Sensing became standard on the Civic coupe and sedan, but not the Si so I'd guess that the Type R will not be getting Honda Sensing for 2020.

In April 2018, Honda committed to having Honda Sensing on 95% of their vehicles in 2020 with standard Honda Sensing on all 2022 year-model vehicles. I'd guess the Type R and Si will be part of that 5% and won't get Honda Sensing until the 11th generation.

Honda Sensing is standard or available on:

2019 Fit (except LX and Sport manual)
2019 HR-V (except LX and Sport)
2019 Civic sedan and coupe (except Si)
2020 Civic hatchback (2020 Type R hasn't been announced yet)
2019 Accord
2019 CR-V (except LX)
2019 Passport
2020 Pilot
2019 Ridgeline (except RT, Sport, RTL, and RTL-T)
2020 Odyssey (except LX)
2020 Insight
2019 Clarity
Honda really tried to keep the price lower in the US. Honda sensing is standard on all EU civics (since 2017). As far as I know.

Dont miss the navigation, but carplay/AA if you dont have. I have navi in my EU SportPlus, I’ve used it only once. The built-in navigation is just junk. (Imho)

This is more an US market upgrade list than any other. I'm waiting for a call when my dealer receives the 20 Sport hatch.

The 2020 Civic Si was announced today (surprisingly, before the non-Si 2020 Civic coupe and sedan) with standard Honda Sensing. In light of this, I now expect it to encompass the Civic Type R for 2020 as well.

So the 2020 hatch Sport gets the full suite of Sensing?

I'm wondering if I should get that, my 2017 has none of it, and I've had a few near misses, since I drive 25k miles/year for work and am tired a lot. Anyone swear by Sensing?

I have the sensing package and love it. It’s bailed me out a couple times and I really like the adaptive cruise control. It was worth the upgrade from my ‘16 EXT sedan.

Thanks, and yeah, now that the Si sedan has it, that car's getting real tempting too.

The Si also gets the LED headlamps and the new 18" wheels, too. I wonder how much of a price bump that will be?
