Hey, gang! So, here’s my tiny, nitpicking, issue with which I need help:

One of the things I love most about new cars is how quiet they are! My Si is totally quiet except 1 thing: my passenger-side door makes a tiny ‘pop’ sound (as if some panel is momentarily unsticking its adhesive or something) only when I hit a bump in the road. BUT, it’s loud enough to be heard when playing the stereo at a reasonable volume (...from 9 to 11 :p).

I thought I isolated it to the tweeter triangle, but messing with that didn’t fix the issue (nor did it exacerbate issue, luckily).

Any ideas? I can say it doesn’t occur when the window is halfway down. Also, I don’t think I can get a video with the sound because it might be too quiet.

Anywho, just for context, I know this is a seriously minor issue. Please know I love this car, for sure. Just thought I’d ask around. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge and experiencing is these forums.

Thank you!

Do you have wind deflectors installed? I had installed and external set, and on the passenger side the adhesive came undone and when I was on the highway it would flap. I removed them and bought a set from WeatherTech that actually go into the window sill. Problem solved. They are more expensive, but excellent quality, and amazing customer service. I accidentally broke one and they sent me a new set with no questions asked

It's the A-Pillar, you need to remove it and add foam at the bottom of it and the 'pop' should go away!

No, I don’t. Good thinking, though.

You sure you don't have the ol' seatbelt buckle bumping against the B-Pillar like a lot of us do?

Yeah, I mean, I have that, but that’s not it. Sometimes, both sounds occur simultaneously.

My driver door has two different noises over bumps, of course it's only sometimes. I swear someone at the Honda factory left a plastic tab or something in the bottom of my door that rattles around and then just below the tweeter I get like a clicking sound. These also drive me nuts

Car only has 1,000 miles on it and I really don't feel like ripping off the door panel of a brand new car, might just have the dealer look into these...

Right, it’s the clicking at the tweeter that I have. Let us know if the dealer finds anything.

haha first day I was driving down the hwy with the windows open and started to here a knocking noise like wtf!!! Something already broke on this thing? lol I pulled over on the shoulder and started checking my tires, wheels and suspension on that side. Soon as I hopped back on the sound came back!! lol Then I noticed it was the buckle whacking against the side pillar from the wind. You won't see anything over there as it's happening behind the seat.

UPDATE: I shoved some rolled-up electrical tape (my go-to sound deadening material :D) in the crack between the lower A-Pillar and the front of the dashboard, and I think that might’ve fixed it. We’ll see! I’ll report back if the sound reappears.

Thanks for the tips, all!
