First, thankfully you are around to write this. Make sure your attorney gets you compensated for more than just your medical bills. That will not be 'taking advantage' that will just be fair to compensate you for any long term consequences you have to live with plus your initial pain and suffering, etc.
No, I am not an attorney, but I have been through this. '93 Altima. It gave its life for me.

Second, good to see how these cars do in a real world accident. I just have the SI sedan, hoping I never find out how well it does in an accident, but reassuring to know your CTR kept you alive.

Third, on a happier note, we all want see pics of the '19. Enjoy! And make sure you add a dash cam. Congrats on not overpaying. I just saw a '17 CTR with 23,000 miles on it listed for $ 38,000 from a local dealer. But that's Arizona.

Glad you didn't end up with worse injuries! Very lucky, but make sure you're totally checked out.
You should be able to buy back your CTR with a salvage title. This just happened to me with my track car. The repair shop had to install a new starter and the shop thought it would be a good idea to take my car out for, just a little drive ( I told them DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR) and the mechanic hit a tree and wrote it off! I actually had the car sold. I bought the car back from my insurance company with a salvage title and the person that wanted to buy my car, bought it anyways as a parts car, plus I recieved fair value from my insurance company. So as it turns out I ended up making more money on the car in the long run.

First and foremost, you walked away. Even a CTR is just a car, sheet metal & plastic, easily replaceable. I've been rear-ended by texting women twice, 1st in my 13 EX Coupe w/650 miles on it, then again in my 16 EX-L Coupe w/1800 miles, both at the same time of day at the same yield sign. (I really avoid that intersection now!) Damage was confined to the bumper covers and associated hardware, (under 2k), but with a new car, still really upsetting, especially when the cops wouldn't even charge distracted driving when it was obvious they were texting, said "it wasn't worth their time" as there was no injuries or airbag deployment. I did get a police report that blamed the other drivers with following too closely, so I was able to subrigate both claims (Pa is a no-fault state) so their insurance companys ate the deductible and the rentals so nothing was charged against my insurance. To me, texting while driving isn't much different than DUI, end effect is the same, they're addicted to their "devices" and often kill or injure people. Should carry equivalent penalties and be prosecuted with the same vigor as a DUI. As stated above by Cornercarver, please get yourself FULLY checked out medically, sometimes it takes months or even years for the effects of an impact like you had to manifest themselves, I'd at least consult a good attorney who specializes in automotive injuries for an opinion after you get a medical report.
Glad you're going to get a new CTR, your old one protected you well, just make sure you take care of you!

I have never understood the "pain and suffering" aspect of Suing honestly.... I get the medical bills portion completely, and I understand there is additional stress after the fact. I remember when my home was broken into and everything of value was stolen. Yeah, there were days I would come home and expect to be robbed again after I replaced everything but that was something out of my control.

I just focus on what I can control. I hope nothing like this ever happens to myself or anyone I know... However... I still struggle with "pain and suffering" besides the other person may not have adequate insurance, or their insurance company will counter sue. Additionally.... If the suit is won, it could alter that other person's life in such a way we cannot comprehend.

Perhaps I am just a "nice guy" I've been hit twice and never sued anyone. I'd probably have won too.... One of the guys is like a best friend to me now and was much more valuable than money.

It's here! I did not want white originally but it's definitely growing on me. Especially at sunset and at night. Shoutout to Honda of Danbury and Honda of Milford. I was originally going to purchase from Honda of Milford but I thought they had a PMM car that ended up being Sonic Gray and I was too iffy on the color. Honda of Danbury ended up matching their price and helping me out too.

Honda Civic 10th gen Guys I'm so excited typer

Congrats! Notice any difference between this one and your last? When I drive my brother's CTR, it always feels somehow a little different than mine. What's the badge number?
I need to re-find my preferred seating position and throw my motegis on it to really know. But the shifter feels smoother? Is the '19 transmission different?

Congrats!

I know the feeling on color.. I HAD to have Blue! But the only blue ones I could find in SoFlo were 10k ADM.... I almost pulled the trigger on a Sonic Grey Pearl (I really do love the color so much) But I found a blue one and the dealer matched the MSRP price on it! I have not looked back since!

edit:

There is nothing different with the transmission that I know of... could be a placebo.

Yeah placebo is definitely a possibility. I hadn't driven stick in over a week, too, so I might have just been reminded of how smooth the transmission can be :) . I had an occasional 2nd gear grind and 6th gear lock-out on the last one, so hopefully I got luckier this time.

hahaha honestly, I don't know how much of a difference it makes yet! I drove the car from the dealer to the garage and it's stayed put since. I just put on my 19" Motegi's with S007A's and installed the JDM shift knob from my old car and I'm going to be dailying it starting tomorrow. We were supposed to get a bad storm today with potential for hail and tornado force winds, so I kept in a family members garage. The last thing I needed was hail damage a day into ownership

I do need to check out the wheel threads, though. My Motegi's are gray to match the old PMM but I might need to powder coat them a different color.

I would trade the volume knob to have the old steering wheel back. I hate the piano black at the bottom of the wheel
